Considering Coros HRM, is it accurate?

Hi all, I lost my polar h10 and am considering getting the coros HRM, is it accurate despite being an optical sensor? Have you experienced disconnection during the workouts? I understand that this is not the best option for weightlifting or intervals but I really can't stand chest straps.

Runna marathon workout pace targets not displaying correctly on Coros and Strava

Hi all,
I’ve noticed a glitch when executing a Runna-programmed marathon workout on my Coros watch.
Segments that should have specific pace targets are currently showing as “open goal” instead of displaying the intended pace range, such as 4:45–5:05 min/km. This also appears when the workout is uploaded to Strava, where it shows as “conversational pace” rather than a workout segment with a defined pace target.
Is Runna planning to fix this issue? And is there anything Coros can do to coordinate with Runna and help resolve it?
Thanks!

COROS, please make this improved Extender Mode a reality

I’ve been thinking about how useful Extender Mode could become for strength training, and I mocked up a concept that builds on the current design.

Who else is a bit disappointed with the June update?

It seems that strength training is definitely not the top priority. I know the previous one added a basic feature (editing after workout), but still to this date basic features are still missing and is a shame because with just a few tweaks the experience could be much much more satisfactory. Adding supersets edits, taking advantage of the Extender feature to log directly from the phone, reminders of reps and weights during a previous session. It doesn’t seem incredibly difficult to implement. Instead we get rock climbing routes near to our location (but not an event race finder for running!)

Coros Apex 4 comparison...

I’m not sure whether that is a significant difference but find interesting the results of the test.

9.43 miles = 15.176 km
9.50 miles = 15.289 km

Is there any chance that you can improve the design of your strenght muscle heat-map?

The current one looks as ugly as the new Spotify logo which is saying enough already

Does Hevy allow automatic transitions during the execution of a time-based exercise to rest time?

If not, if this something that can be added in the future?

Has anyone tried to broadcast AirPods Pro 3 HR to Coros watch via a third party app? Does it work?

If not, what about the Powerbeats pro 2? Thank you!

Hi,

First off, great May beta update.

I wanted to share a few thoughts from my experience and see what others think could be improved or added in future releases:

Exercise to rest transitions
AUTO ADVANCE mode can be frustrating if reps are miscounted, as it pushes you into rest too early. A hybrid option would be ideal: manually switch from exercise to rest, but automatically go from rest to exercise.

Superset tracking
Right now, you cannot log weight or reps for the first exercise during the workout, only afterward. It would be great to have tappable fields to input reps and weight for each exercise in real time.

Exercise library
A few basic movements are still missing, like chin ups, devil presses, muscle ups, clean and jerk, and archer push ups.

AMRAP and AMRO support
Better support for AMRAP (as many reps as possible) and AMRO (as many rounds as possible) would be really valuable, as these formats are common but currently limited in tracking.

Input flow during transitions
There seems to be an extra click with the watch wheel after entering weight compared to before. Removing that step would make the flow smoother.

Phone input (EXTENDER mode)
It would be great to enter weights and reps directly from the phone when using EXTENDER mode in the Coros app.

No hate just genuinely curious.

For the past couple of years, many of us have been asking for the ability to edit reps after saving a strength workout. I’ve even seen hints from Coros that this feature might be coming in a future update, but it still hasn’t been implemented.

From a development standpoint, it seems like a relatively straightforward change since it would only affect the app and not require updates across different watch models. That’s why I’m wondering what’s holding it back.

Is it a commercial decision (for example, to differentiate newer models like Pace 3 from older ones like Pace 2)? Or was it something that was planned but deprioritised in favor of other features?

There are quite a few posts about this already, and strength training is such a fundamental part of most sports that it feels like an important gap.
