like dude they lose all their chemistry that made them unique and interesting, not to mention that cool dynamic is what caused people to ship them in the first place
but then when they become a canon couple they don’t retain any of their mannerisms or personality with each other, they just turn into yet another generic romantic couple
I can’t think of any media examples from the top of my head (but I do think there’s a lot) but WildeHopps shippers tend to depict Judy and Nick this way in fan art as yet another generic straight couple

I think this dream was the result of watching that new Pixar film Hoppers

my friend had this dream where her bedroom door connected to her classroom so she went to her room to grab a computer, and when she got back, the teacher was showing this meme with unintelligible text on the smart board
she was trying to show the meme to her friends in the dream and they were like “oh wow it’s a meme” but she went “yeah but what does it say? what does it mean??”

I set up a "Hail Mary" in my house and was about to do it when I was like "nah, I'm gonna save this for later and come up with something better to wish for"

and Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes used a "Hail Mary" to make himself grow giant, and he subsequently ran away from his dad and his house, and he jumped into the Underground (from Undertale) because he wanted to be friends with Flowey

also sorry if I offend any Christians, idk what a hail Mary actually is cuz I'm not Christian; my subconscious just dreamt this up

I've been thinking a lot about the War of SandWing Succession and I was also heavily inspired by Tim O'Brien's novels The Things They Carried and If I Die in a Combat Zone, Box Me Up and Ship Me Home (the former of which I'm doing a school project on) and tried to imagine a WoF version of them, and the War of SandWing Succession and the experiences from the soldiers as well as other stuff like battles and shifts of allegiances aren't really discussed that much in detail in the series, other than the winglet short stories with Six-Claws and Deathbringer, as well as Umber's perspective in book 16 (wall of text incoming)

a headcanon I have is that the Rainforest Kingdom in the SandWing Succession War was like in some aspects Vietnam in the Vietnam War, with similar landscape, weather, dangers, and potential traumatic experiences for the soldiers. I think some of the tribes had outposts and a few bases there, mostly SkyWings and some MudWings, the allies of Burn
combat between tribes often converged in the Rainforest Kingdom, with some platoons of IceWing troops travelling far enough to hide out in the rainforest to attack SkyWings, usually hiding in some small RainWing villages, and SkyWing soldiers would frequently hunt them down in the villages and try to kill the IceWings (one time the SkyWings got an alert that IceWing forces were hiding out in one village, but when they couldn't find any IceWings, the troops' leader assumed the innocent RainWings there were probably secret allies and spies for the IceWings and ordered his soldiers to round them up and kill them all, akin to the My Lai massacre)
SkyWings and MudWings would also engage in combat with any Blaze-allied SandWing soldiers who flew there, and SeaWing troops would also take advantage of the beaches of the Rainforest Kingdom and use them to attack SkyWing soldiers, who sometimes went out on leisurely swims and would sometimes be unsuspectedly dragged down and drowned by SeaWings lying in wait

but anyway, that's just a headcanon I have, what do you guys think

I was listening to David Bowie's Space Oddity and then I thought about Project Hail Mary and the Voyager 1 probe, and then I was like "you know, how long would it take for WoF dragons to achieve spaceflight?" but animus magic can achieve anything, so I came up with this (wall of text incoming)

the scientists of some of the Pyrrhian tribes decided they want to focus on space exploration and have a way to receive any information they find about the cosmos, so they create a program that would have one dragon volunteer to explore space and be basically wandering space forever
they have a former IceWing general-turned-astronomer volunteer and they have an animus basically give her all the enchantments that a rocket has, including: ability to change speed up to near-lightspeed, immunity from radiation, the ability to switch vision to see other parts of the electromagnetic spectrum, ability to breathe no matter the conditions and/or what's in the air (if she visits any planets), the ability to telepathically communicate with dragons back on the planet about her findings and send back visual info to them, and basically immortality
so she goes up into space and first feels excited and in awe to be able to fully explore the cosmos and she sends all her findings back to the planet, but she later starts to feel immense loneliness and reflects upon life and has other deep thoughts, and over the years, hundreds and thousands of light-years away from home, many dragons have forgotten about her and don't even pay that much attention to anything space-related, until she realizes she can still telepathically communicate; so she telepathically talks with a science-loving dragonet back on the planet Darkstalker-style and tries to get him to make dragons remember her again

so is this good or nah
