Build done, just the painting to go!

I have finally finished the building for my 1/72 scale B-17G from Airfix. It’s been really good fun and I have tried my best with scratch building interior details like wires, bullet casing, oxygen bottles etc. More detailed pictures will be included when I post the finished product!

All that’s left is some masking and I cannot wait to paint it!

Happy hobbying :)

Interior Bulkhead Weathering on a 1:72 B-17 Kit, is it accurate?

As per the title this is the weathering I did on one of the bulkheads in my 1:72 scale airfix B-17 G. The pictures show the bulkhead connecting the radio room to rear fuselage (the area where the waist gunners and ball turret were).

I was just wondering if this was accurate for the B-17, if not what would look good and would that be accurate for most WW2 era aircraft, or was the B-17 unique in its weathering 😂 .

Unfortunately, the interior is already sealed so I won't be able to modify the weathering but any advice on what it should look like and how to achieve the look is very welcome for the future.

Anyways, happy hobbying!

Let the build commence!

After ages I’m finally starting my 1:72 B-17 that I’ve been sooooo excited to build! I was wondering if any of you guys who have build/ are building the kit could tell me if there’s anything I should know about it. Also I’m happy to let anyone else know what they want to know about it, just ask!

Anyways, happy hobbying!

Some 158th Kreigsmen I painted

They are super messy and definitely not my best squad but I like the green as so far I’ve only painted the blue-grey 143rd.

I also appreciate that the picture quality is not great, sorry :)
