IDEAS NEEDED for a mid-game surprise for our friend getting married

In mid-August, 20 of my friends and I are going to have a (tasteful-ish) bachelor party day for our friend that includes a Blue Jay game. We tried booking a message on a jumbotron, but we were too late to reserve a slot.

Sooooo, wise people of the internet, I'm curious what other things at the Blue Jay game we can do to make our friend's day special.

For instance... any way to book a surprise appearance with BJ Birdy / Ace?

Anyone got any connections where, in lieu of a jumbotron shoutout, we can still get him to partake in one of those trivia/activity games that happen between innings?

Any and all ideas are welcome! Thank you!

I just started playing a month ago. Roast* me!

I'm obsessed even though I'm nowhere near being an exponent-requiring score player. Love me some 10s and 4s and making flushes and straights via shortcuts and smudges.

I only think the mime is overrated because I have not gotten to the point where it pays off incredibly for me. And I straight up have never used a Legendary joker before P:

So yeah, roast my arse!

After attaining more than a third of the voting, Paul Robalino's "Bodies" (aka the "Spworm" presentation) has been deemed the best Smartypants presentation!

Thank you to everyone who took part in this poll:

https://www.reddit.com/r/dropout/comments/1thopvh/smartypants_championship_final_vote/

...as well as our initial discussion to determine the six most beloved presentations:

Zach is our silver medallist and Hank takes home the bronze.

Special mention to Demi's "Cookout" presentation for receiving the most love of any presentation not in the Top Six (as many thought it should've taken the Charcuterie spot, but as Tao Yang would say, EVERYONE SHUT UP IT'S SALAMI TIME)

Love to you all and have a great week!

SMARTYPANTS CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL (vote!)

Your voices have been heard! Here are your nominees for BEST SMARTYPANTS LECTURE right before season 3 starts up again!

Based on this comment section - thank you all for your choices!

Now… my original plan was to include EVERY lecture mentioned in the comments section, but Reddit polls limit us to just SIX choices (and also I’m not THAT unemployed [only a little bit, enough to do this on a Tuesday morning]). Fortunately, after tirelessly assessing the results (mostly just CTRL+Fing) it was clear that these six finalists were the ones most enthusiastically beloved by the people.

Very honourable mentions to these runners-up: Wrestling, Cookout, Swing Music, Procrastination, Cryptids, Cicadas, Groundhog Day, Food Captain, Rollercoasters, Drama Kids, How to name a baby, Vegetables, Zzyxx, Eggs, and various others that got a handful of shoutouts.

POLL ENDS ON FRIDAY!

EDIT: I initially was too rigid with my top 5 structure. Post as many or as few presentations as you want!

I'm not here to condemn the ones I consider bad. I'M HERE TO CELEBRATE THE ONES I CONSIDER AWESOME.

So let's all do it! REPLY WITH YOUR FAVOURITE PRESENTATION / PRESENTATIONS!

After... two weeks from now... I'll count up how many times each one has been mentioned, and a winner shall be determined henceforth.

If you'd like to go into detail why it is (or these are) your fave(s), by all means!

Here are mine:

  1. Wrestling & Drag (Jess Ross) - This one isn't the funniest or the most informative, but holy hell is every second a joy. AND it's super funny and a flawless analogy.
  2. Which Cartoon Characters are Invited to the Cookout (Demi Adejuyigbe) - My vote for the funniest presentation, and maybe my choice for funniest thing on Dropout.
  3. No Thank You, The Ocean (Zach Reino) - "The ocean kills a million people per... unit... of... time."
  4. Groundhog Day (Paul F. Tompkins) - Just a legend doing typical legendary shit.
  5. A Case for Eggs (Katie Marovitch) - The most Katie Marovitch thing ever?

Honourable mentions: Bodies (which will probably win), Charcuterie, Rollercoasters, Zzyxx, Cryptids, Vegetables, Food Captain, Kissing the Homies, Intimacy (See, I don't hate season 2!)
