This is exactly how and why the BJP swept across the entire North from the Congress. These mfs still don’t even understand how the BJP works. The BJP thrives on communalism, and these religious idiots keep feeding it. They think that by doing all this they’re stopping the BJP, but in fact, they’re only helping it grow more.

This is exactly what happened in the North, and this is exactly why the LDF is needed, because they are the only ones who understand how the BJP works, since they aren’t blinded by religion. That’s why they’ve always been so adamant about secularism and communal peace in Kerala, unlike the UDF, which unleashed and empowered a whole bunch of religious fanatics. Eventually, that’s only going to help the BJP grow even more.

I don’t mind IUML getting any department as ministers, but not Education.

The IUML’s stance on the Zumba initiative is exactly why they shouldn’t be anywhere near the Education Ministry. By validating claims that a fitness program is "immoral" or "un Islamic," they are showing they’d rather appease religious hardliners than support student health and antidrug campaigns. When you combine this with their rhetoric about co ed seating(boys and girls sitting together in the same classroom or seating arrangement) being "dangerous" and their constant opposition to gender neutral uniforms, it’s clear their priority is religious orthodoxy, not progressive education. We need a ministry that looks forward, not one that lets religious bodies dictate policy and holds students back in the name of "tradition." Imagine K. M. Shaji or Fathima Thahaliya as our Education Minister, I’d even rather see Ramesh Pisharody in that role.
