I M33 and my wife F33 have been “separated” but living together for a few months. I am now finding out from my mother about her cursing at our children while she is there picking them up, being late to my aunts funeral, lying and not telling me we were supposed to bring food to the coinciding celebration of life, being an hour late to that celebration of life while I was there cooking and prepping and working, also being late/making us all late to my grandmothers birthday. I am feeling broken and upset with her. I also know if I bring it up I will be told I’m too emotional or “ of course your mother has a problem”.

Should I just call it? Should I just divorce her? We have two amazing children together but it seems like she is just separating and burning everything behind herself so she can not worry about it or feel bad.

For context, I broke down and told her while I was drinking, that she is one of the reasons I have considered suicide because of how mean she is, and said our kids show signs of being scared of her. She said how dare I and wanted a divorce/separation.
This is just the most recent in a long line of shitty behaviors and actions and words that have happened over 15yrs together.

TLDR:My wife is mean and incapable of holding herself accountable for shitty behavior. Should I stop trying to fix things?
