How do you choose a brand?

I’m looking to start wearing contacts (I’ve been wearing glasses my whole life) but am overwhelmed with how many choices there are. I’ll probably order online. How do I know what brand and type will work best for me? I’ve worn single-use soft lenses twice before but that was just because I was dressing up for Halloween and my glasses didn’t match the costume.

20F how bad is it? Also advice plz? Verification is second pic.

Shirt had some identifying info on it so I cropped the pic where it needed to be cropped to omit that but if a moderator wants the uncropped pic where you can see my elbow, I can provide it through DMs.

I’ve been told I’m ugly many times throughout my life (general consensus is that I’m around a 4/10) and I believe it but I also believe that I have the potential to improve. Any advice helps! My goal is to become approx a 6.5/10. I’m open to suggestions about nonsurgical procedures like filler, but it’s unlikely I’ll be able to do that any time soon unless it’s on the less expensive side of things.

I provided a mix of face and outfit pics. There are more body/outfit pics on my profile in some recent posts but I didn’t include them here since my fave isn’t visible and I didn’t want to risk breaking the rule. No makeup in second or fourth pic. I recently lost 40 lbs and am planning to lose 10-20 more but not more than that because my boyfriend likes me a bit on the thicker side. I’m planning to start going to the gym again soon to tone up my arms a bit but I’m aware that they won’t become skinny from exercise since my body fat percentage is still in the mid 20s. I’m 5’10 and have long legs and a short torso. My hair is very thin so I never wear it down. I included a pic of it down to show you, but I never wear it like that. I’ve also stopped frequently wearing the style with one side piece of hair loose in the front because my boyfriend doesn’t like it so I only do it when I really want to. I’m currently in the process of testing out new glasses styles so I’d appreciate advice there. Note that my jaw shape is not due to fat but the underlying bone so further weight loss will not make my jaw narrower or sharper because of my wide rounded maxilla. I generally dress classic and feminine and I always have my finger and toe nails painted and rarely go out without makeup. I’m working with a dermatologist to improve my skin and I whiten my teeth every two or three months. Please note that I don’t do my eyebrows like the third pic anymore. They’re straighter with longer tails now like in every other pic.

20F looking to improve

Advice for other glasses shapes to try?

I (20F) have been wearing this style of glasses for the last decade. I included a picture without glasses too so you can see my face without them. I am not wearing makeup and do not have my hair styled in either because I want glasses that will look good even if I’m not all done up. Recently, I’ve been interested in trying other shapes but don’t know what would suit me best. My lenses are pretty thick so I don’t want wire frames. The concern I have with my current glasses is that I’ve been told they make me look much older than I am (apparently the cat eye shape is a grandma style? Idk I’ve always liked it) so I want to know what would look good on me without resembling the wardrobe of a middle aged librarian. Note that since the lenses are pretty strong, they make my eyes look a bit smaller, so I don’t want a frame style that will exacerbate that effect.

I am trying to do some small upgrades to my bedroom at my parents house since I’m spending the summer there and am unhappy with the current styling. I can’t paint the walls of change the bed frame. Here I’ve badly photoshopped the bedding that I’ve purchased (oatmeal fitted sheet and two pillows, persimmon flat sheet and one pillow, botanical print pistachio green duvet and two pillows) because it hasn’t arrived yet.

I bought some canvasses and plan to paint and arrange them like this. Not exactly copying these of course, but this mock-up shows the placement, colors, and basic designs well enough. My question is how can I improve this? I’m looking for advice about the wall art but will gladly accept other advice as long as it doesn’t require me to paint a wall or change the bed frame because this is not my house so I can’t do that.
