Anyone else have a poor sense of smell or is it just me?

I’ve always had a terrible sense of smell, it gotten a lot worse since my last septoplasty surgery that I recently had (around a year ago). It’s somewhat cool since I can handle working with smelly patients and etc, but damn, I miss my sense of smell.

Don’t know if anyone else has a considerably poor sense of smell as well or if just me.

Also if anyone has any advice on how to somehow improve my sense of smell, I would appreciate it.

I’m looking for a tattoo artist that doesn’t not use AI at all and I prefer they have a neotraditional or traditional style, however I’d be open to any art styles. I’ve been having some trouble finding good artists with decent line-work that do not use AI.

I know some people support generative AI and may think I’m being too picky but I’d rather not have it on my body.

This is somewhat of a strange topic, and I’m not sure how to explain what I am feeling. I suppose I can start by stating that I was born and still identify as female, even if I am now questioning things.

I had always felt dysphoric, the first feelings started in early primary school. I always felt a bit masculine or androgynous ever since, but after I started taking antidepressants, those thoughts disappeared almost entirely. I started dressing very feminine at one point, and I started to actually feel fine with my gender.

Now, I’ve been off of these medications for half a year because I felt like I had other tools to help cope with my anxiety and depression.

However I’ve noticed after a couple of weeks of not taking my medication that I feel more masculine. I suddenly started hating the fact that I am a woman, at some point, I had to turn my mirrors away or look down at the floor when passing a mirror because I would start to cry.

I thought about being on estrogen, however I am young and I worry that the hormone will cause health issues. I also thought about being on testosterone but im afraid the laws where i live make it harder for me to feel safe. In a way, I want to be feminine, I want to be comfortable being a woman but it’s hard. Maybe this is more of a body-dysphoric thing as I am very uncomfortable in my body so much that I fantasize about being a man. However at the same time, I somewhat want to be treated like a man, or maybe my inner self is just saying that I should be treated like a man since I don’t feel feminine enough.

I don’t know what I should do. I’ve dressed more tomboyish, androgynous, feminine, even tried to act all of those three. I just feel uncomfortable in this body and it’s very hard to tell if this is a body-dysphoria thing or a gender-dysphoria thing. Any advice will be appreciated, even if I tagged this as a “vent” post.
