GRRM's blog post from 2017 about a Robert's Rebellion show (Spoilers Main)

"We're not doing Robert's Rebellion either. I know thousands of you want that, I know there's a petition... but by the time I finish writing A SONG OF ICE & FIRE, you will know every important thing that happened in Robert's Rebellion. There would be no surprises or revelations left in such a show, just the acting out of conflicts whose resolutions you already know. That's not a story I want to tell just now; it would feel too much like a twice-told tale."

Given that this post is nearly ten years old, The Mad King play that recently released, and GRRM is obviously going through some tough times, I wonder if a Robert's Rebellion is in the (wild) cards for a potential series.

Richard Dean Anderson Won't Be In Amazon's New Stargate Series » GateWorld

Per the article:

Anderson made the comments to fans during his stage appearance this past weekend at Metz’Torii, the pop culture convention in Metz, France.

“I’ve talked to Brad Wright, who is the executive producer of my Stargate,” he said, “and he talked to me about the new one. The new producers, the new owners, want to have their own entity with that franchise name attached to it. So they’ll have all new characters. They haven’t asked me to be a part of it, and I’m glad they’re not putting me on the spot to make it awkward to say, possibly, ‘No.'”

If asked whether he would be open to doing a cameo on the new show, on the other hand, Anderson was less committal. “I can’t say,” he responded.

The 76-year-old actor’s aversion to returning to Stargate might just come down to how much he is enjoying retirement. “I’m kind of lazy, to be honest with you,” he said. “And I don’t feel like pursuing much of anything [other] than being with my dogs, and my daughter — God bless her. I have very low aspirations!”

The stars are in your eyes
Yet the tears are in mine

Why look to the future
When the past is alive?

Your eyes are like candles
The fire is divine

Don't stars burn brightest
Just before they die?

I remember so much now
What's on your mind?

You'll follow me forever
Until our great divide

Will the memory slip
Or will it become anew?

I've killed every plant I've owned
I'll surely kill you too
