Lost Wedding and Engagement rings: Carmel/Brewster

Long shot to be posting here but I am devastated.

I had same day surgery at Putnam Hospital on Thursday 8/6. Nurse had put my rings in a green plastic case for sake keeping. I vaguely remember that case being returned to me and trying to stuff it into my pocketbook as I was getting dressed post-surgery, but I was still groggy from anesthesia.

We stopped at Acme in Brewster on the way home to go to the pharmacy there. It’s possible that the case fell out of my bag while paying at the pharmacy or getting in/out of car.

Unfortunately I didn’t realize I was missing it until Saturday/yesterday. Anesthesia is a hell of a drug.

I’ve made all the calls, including hospital security, local PD in both towns, Acme. I will call the surgery center tomorrow and speak to the manager at Acme to see if they can review security footage for the specific time and location I was there.

Will also be calling local gold/jewelry buyers.

I will spare the details, but the sentimental value cannot be overstated. Open to any ideas or leads.

Norovirus, anyone?

Just tested positive after a week of this shit... No vomiting. Diarrhea and cramping and BODY ACHES! Terrible joint pain and stiffness, neck, knees, low back pain. I can barely get up out of the car. Fatigue. Headache.

Anyone share my misery? How long did it last for you?

Current protocol for bullseye

Woke up with what appears to be a bullseye rash this morning, though the larger circle part is more bruised colored. I am, of course, contacting my doctor and may end up going to urgent care.

Just wondering what people are finding currently in terms of protocol for bullseye like rash with no known bite.

How miserable are your allergies right now?

Let me hear it! I've been out of town for two weeks and just returned - immediately feel like I am getting sick and am unclear if it's allergies or a virus. (It matters to me because I have elderly cancer patients in my life and it's so challenging to know if I can safely be around them.)

I know the tree pollen had been intense earlier this spring, but is it still raging? Is today's wind kicking something up?

Central Massachusetts Nurseries

Hello! I usually garden in the Hudson Valley of New York and know all the great native nurseries there. I have a unique opportunity to redesign some perennial beds this month for a retreat center in Barre, Mass.

Is anyone familiar with nurseries in this area that stock natives? It is so remote so will probably need to travel 45-60 minutes, I would imagine. Thanks!

Recs for a great GI doc?

Hi - looking for a really great gastroenterologist who takes a more functional/holistic look at gut health. Really willing to travel anywhere in the region for someone truly knowledgable and current.

I have been on SSDI for five years due to cancer and some other chronic health issues. I was recently contacted by a rep from NWM about a life insurance policy I own. When I happened to mention that I have been on disability, he let me know that I can apply to have the policy premiums waived - and that it would be retro if approved.

The claim process is daunting - half inch pile of forms, including a five page attending physician form that they want completed by two different docs. All of my docs are fully supportive of me and my need to be on disability, HOWEVER, as a rule, they are very reluctant to complete even the basic one page form I occasionally need completed by SSA.

I have lots of other supporting evidence, including five years of medical records showing active and ongoing care, as well as past forms that my docs completed.

Anyone have insight into how critical getting these specific NWM physician's forms completed it? Is it worth submitting everything else without them?
