i (vegan) went shopping for my husband’s lunches this week. i have never used a coupon in my life before, but i got one for chicken for $1.99/lb which i Think is really good? i actually went to the store in the first place to get dark chocolate chips because i was going to make this protein cookie dough thing with blended cottage cheese... but i forgot to get the chocolate chips 😂

also, i found $100 bill on the sidewalk on the walk to the grocery store, so i really made $60 and got free groceries.

i maintain that no one’s name is dianey.

has this ever happened to anyone else?

i can’t figure out what could have possibly caused this, and am thinking it’s somehow watch related. i did go swimming with my watch on but i’ve done that before. any ideas?

i was trying to put a NSFW or spoiler tag but it doesn’t seem like i can do that — sorry it’s gross.

EDIT: i was thinking it’s friction from rubbing against my watch band, as it’s tiny enough to fit underneath it, but it is pretty above where my watch would touch.

i have been a teacher for the last 15 years, but i recently signed up on care.com to provide childcare and pet care services. locals with kids or pets, what are you paying for the following services?

child care (per hour) + how much for additional kids

30 minute dalk walk

60 minute dog walk

pet companionship (per hour)

pet boarding (per night)

i remember i used to take my dachshund to lest LA dogs and it was like $70 a night but that was a few years ago. any help would be very appreciated.

a (probably inconsequential) question about sarah's choice of words (SPOILERS)

so i'm rewatching in preparation for the new season, and i'm just at the part where john b comes back and sarah admits to "hooking up" with topper. this term can mean a lot of different things to different people, but when sarah is talking to kiara about it, she says she kissed him.

my question is, was she just downplaying everything with kiara, and she actually had sex with topper on the beach? (this is my husband's hypothesis.) or did she really only make out with him? (what i think, but she really should have said "kissed" if that were the case.)

also, at the end of the episode, my husband was like, "wait, there are four seasons of this?" 😂 and i can't remember one thing that happens in season 4 except the big thing, but i remember not liking it. anyone have any bullet points? i admit i have a terrible memory, which is kinf of fun because when i rewatch it, it's like it's all new again.

so i'm watching USA and UK right now, but i've never seen love island before.

honest question: is this the first time there was a rule among the islanders to only kiss one girl a day? it seems weird because there are loads of kissing challenges where everyone makes out with everyone... i've never seen someone so pissed about a guy kissing another girl in the same 24 hours.

first time making yogurt

hello everyone --

this is probably annoying and i apologize. i just joined this sub and the yogurt making community.

i procured a yogurt maker this week and made my first batch of vegan soy yogurt. i used soy milk i made myself (with only water and soybeans) as well as soft tofu i boiled first. i "cooked" it at 107F for 12 hours as per some advice i received online. i added some soy yogurt starter and have just removed it from the incubator but i smelled them and they smell like sour milk (even though there is no dairy in them whatsoever).

trying to figure out what i did wrong. i cleaned everything thoroughly (even my hands) beforehand. any tips before i try a second round?

NEW TO THIS SHOW

i'm on episode one of season three (and it's the first time i've watched this show) and i have some questions and thoughts. sorry if this is redundant.

questions:

first of all, how the helly does this work without tasting a bunch of soggy, cold dishes? i'm familiar with how other food competition shows work, but tasting 24 things?! how is this possible?

wishes:

there are a couple of things i think would make this show better. thing number one: i wish they would show all the footage when they cut the camera and the judge is saying which his bottom three dishes (or whatever) are and why. to me, that's one of the most interesting parts of this or any competition.

second, and maybe this is me just being ADD (and there being 24 contestants) but when they eliminate people, i wish they would tell us their name And the dish they made. it was much easier for me to remember the dishes and cooking processes i just watched being made for 30 minutes than the people's names.

last thoughts:

my two favorite contestants were eliminated almost right away! >!antonello and shota.!< ):

curious to hear your takes. excited to see and discuss more!
