Overseas Singaporean workers and low CPF balances

I’m trying to understand considerations surrounding CPF for overseas Singaporean workers. I spent maybe a couple of years working in Singapore and then took up a job abroad. I have something like S$85k in my CPF. If I remain abroad I doubt I will make even the basic retirement sum. How would that work for me when I reach retirement age (whatever that may be at that time)? The CPF money isn’t very consequential for me as I have other retirement vehicles where I currently am, but I’d still like to know how I may access that cash and what it can be used for since I’m clueless when it comes to CPF-related stuff. So explain it to me like I’m in 5th grade lol.

Is realizing capital gains worth it?

With the current slate of crazily-valued IPOs coming online, I was thinking of switching my total US market ETFs (things like VTI, ITOT, SCHB, which are probably going to be obligated to include these IPOs) to S&P500 ETFs, since S&P has committed to maintaining their inclusion rules. The thing is, there’s going to be a good amount of capital gains realized selling my SCHB (thankfully long-term, but still). Wondering if that’s a good idea.

I am Singaporean. We currently live in the USA and are expecting a baby girl who will obviously be assume US citizenship through jus solis. We currently have a US citizen son which we opted not to register as Singaporean due to NS considerations. Wondering if I should register the girl. Spouse (US citizen) is of the opinion that it would seem unfair to the boy to selectively register only the girl, but to me it’s just pure upside with no downside in regard to the conveniences of having Singapore citizenship such as a strong passport, baby bonus support and access to future educational/job opportunities at least until 21.

Any thoughts?

EDIT:
I would add that I am a guy. I did NS. While I hated it at the time in retrospect it provided the structure, discipline and regimentation I didn’t know I needed to not turn out like Amos Yee. I think overall an experience like NS is a force for good for kids especially if they grew up in a life of relative abundance. I thought about registering my son but my wife was of the opinion to just keep him simply American rather than dual. Now since we are expecting we are revisiting this discussion again. It’s too late to register the boy now even if we wanted to.
