Ruger GP100 in 10mm Extraction without Moonclips?

I am considering picking up a GP100 match champion in 10mm. Yes, I *know* it is less ideal for revolvers than a rimmed cartridge, but I like 10mm.

My question is in regards to extraction. The revolver can fire without a Moonclip because it headspaces off the mouth of the cartridge. But what about unloading spent casings without a Moonclip?

For those of you who own or have used this gun, are you able to unload the spent casings just by tipping the gun back or by pulling them out by hand? Or do you pretty much have to use a dowel to punch them out if have no Moonclip? (Do the cartridges tend to get firmly stuck in?)

Appreciate thoughts from those of you who have fired one!

How do you handle writing samples when your firm's policy is that partners sign all Office Actions?

I'm a patent associate looking at lateral moves. My firm's policy is that partners' names go on filed applications and Office Action responses, even when an associate drafts the entire thing. (The reason I'm told is that it makes the client happier to see the partner's name on the filing, even if the partner only contributed to editing a little bit).

I've drafted somewhere around 30 applications and hundreds of Office Action responses over a few years, but only one patent that I prepared has my own name on the ADS as the filing attorney. (It was a rush application and the partner who wouldn't normally file it was out). Similarly, only a handful out of the literally hundreds office actions have my signature on it.

A few firms I'm applying to are asking for writing samples. My options as I see them: Share published Office Action responses I drafted, with a note explaining that the partner's signature is a firm policy.

Lean on the single application that is actually filed under my own name and explain the volume of unattributed work separately in the cover letter or interview.

Anyone dealt with this specifically? How did hiring committees or interviewers actually react when you explained the attribution situation? Or is it unusual for my firm to have associates prepared the work product and then have the partners file it?

Or have I just kind of been screwed by my firm as other employers want to see my signature block on the writing samples?

Insulation needed for new hammock camper?

I've recently picked up an Eno hammock and have been using it for day trips outside. I would love to start camping with it as well, but I'm unsure what the insulation needs are for it. In good weather, 40° and up, is an underquilt really necessary? Could I get by with stuffing a blanket inside of the hammock, under me?

Also how necessary are mosquito nets? Are they situational or always essential?

Appreciate the advice from all you with way more experience than me!

Ma Always Said Mind Your Manners

Ran into some boys in Arden who clipped somebody and spent the next ten minutes making sure the whole lobby knew they were God's gift to the Bayou. Real loud. Real ugly.

The Maxim had some thoughts on that. We don't abide that behavior out here in the Bayou!
