EDIT: Please, if you recommend a Steam game, it would mean a lot if you could check it make sure it isn’t Windows only. My kid just got majorly bummed out when we assumed a recommendation was compatible and it wasn’t. That’s why this post exists!

My 12 year old really wanted to play Eastshade but our platform options are Switch or Steam on Mac OS. Are there games like that for either platform that are (a) “visually photorealistic” (their phrase), (b) have a big open world, (c) have no specific goals, (d) are completely non violent?

Thanks for your help! And apologies if I’m describing Eastshade wrong, I’m going by their perception of it.

Received my copy of the Third Man edition today, ordered from Paul’s site… and good god, is it scratched up and covered in residue and all kinds of whatnot. Just the farthest thing from pristine for the premium price. Did anyone else receive theirs today and discover the same thing? When you’re ostensibly paying for a high quality pressing and forgoing the art/liner notes/etc, that feels pretty unacceptable.

Not sure if this is completely across the board or what day these cuts begin, but my family had nonstop flights in the middle of August to and from EWR and PUJ for our big summer trip and those flights were canceled and auto-rebooked on flights that connect through San Juan. It would appear that JetBlue has eliminated direct flights between those two airports. Can’t confirm the start date.
