Picking this bad boy up for $80

Not sure if I’m overpaying or not but I figured this opportunity won’t come back again in the near future… It looks to be an extra small which is perfect for my short queen! It will match greatly with my 970 😎

1990 Trek 970

I was cleaning out my garage this weekend, and every time I tried to get something done, I’d get distracted by this beauty 😂

Must’ve been the beers I was drinking, because I swear it kept telling me, “Stop cleaning and take me to some singletrack.”

Is this xbiking ??

Originally had a big stem and narrow bars… I tried doing a quill adapter and 720 bars but just didn’t feel right… I then bought a 110mm stem and 670 bars and it feels just right! Very snappy bike

Therapy time

I almost talked myself out of not going to ride because it was 90+ during the day but man I’m so glad I went! It felt like 70 degrees it was beautiful…

Help dialing in my desert whip

The main use for this bike is riding the gas pipeline roads around my house on quick rides. As you can see in the pictures, the terrain varies a lot, hard packed desert, loose screen gravel, punchy climbs, and loose rocks of all sizes. It honestly has a little bit of everything, but overall it’s more rocky desert terrain..

I’m still dialing it in and current tires are Panaracer GravelKing SK tires because I thought “this is my gravel bike” 😂 … but after riding these roads more, I’m realizing this terrain is way rougher than typical smooth gravel..
What tires would you guys recommend for this kind of riding? I’m thinking 2.2 would probably be the biggest I’d want to go.
