I was thinking about potentially rushing a sorority or a pre-Health frat and I told my roommate about this because she is majoring and biology too so I was just giving her an idea and she started telling me like oh we’re not gonna be close anymore we’re not gonna be roommates we won’t be able to go to football games together. Basically we won’t be able to do anything together and then she finally texted me this “bc i’m not tryna not have a roommate like u can’t j do that shit 5 days before we move in w each other.” (Also I did kind of mention in the past of rushing but just that I was thinking of a sorority and I asked her if she was and she said no. I met her off of Insta and we met each other one time and we do seem to get along okay and I do understand her concern of not sending as much time with me as I would if I didn’t want to do a sorority however I was just thinking of rushing. I wasn’t sat on it and I don’t know enough about a sorority to know if you don’t have any free time with your roommates so I do understand if she’s scared of that but what are your thoughts?

I looked at my schedule and I have 20 minutes to get from the chem building to psychology is that enough time? I looked it up on Google Maps and it says it’s a 12 minute walk but I’m not sure when it gets colder.

Hi I work at Planet Fitness and this is my second job as an incoming college student and on Saturday I texted the work group chat that I needed someone to take my shift Monday and Thursday and no one responded however no one responded to past people asking for a shift off and they never showed up to work but got coverage so I just assumed it was okay. I woke up to a text from my boss saying “if you can’t find coverage for your shift you need to be there or properly call it off, you can’t just not show up,” which I do understand that it was wrong of me and I didn’t know. How do I properly call off? And should I come to work on Thursday? I was planning on going on vacation with family earlier in the week then leaving on the weekend which I already took off. I feel bad if I don’t come on Thursday and I know it’ll look bad on me so how would I properly call off?
