Tips for post op abdominal surgery care with a onesie and jump prevention?

My 9 y.o boy is getting a surgical biopsy for intestinal lymphoma. Ofc the vet is going to give me thorough medical advice on post-op care, but what are some other ways I can make him comfortable afterwards?

  1. I have a body suit and a donut. But I also want to monitor the incision everyday, which means taking him off the suit once a day. I worry that the dressing/undressing will irritate the incision sight.

  2. He probably shouldn’t be jumping onto things for a few days. But I feel that’s practically difficult. I will add steps to sofa so he can walk onto it. But I can’t do it to every counter/desk in the house. What have you done to prevent cats from jumping post op? There isn’t one room that we can isolate him that also does NOT have a counter of some sorts.

Gen 9 7i heating issue. Replace PTM and/or LM?

High load games started lagging and fps dropped to like sub 5. Then screen started flickering and flashing with black stripes. CPU temp is hovering around 80C when idle.

I have done a deep cleaning of the fans but also plan to replace the PTM for good measure. Wondering if I should also respread the LM or just leave it be since it is fickle to work with?

Succulentum seed pods. Harvesting and planting advice?

I have a couple of seed pods in various stage. When and how do I harvest the seeds — is the fluffy stringy outer layer an essential part of the seed or should I just keep the seed kernel?

Also, some advice on planting the seeds to maximize the chance of germination is also welcomed!

How deep should I pot this p. Succulentum?

Got the plant 3 weeks ago in the black nursery pot. Now planning to repot it in 90%-100% bonsai jack gritty mix (maybe with 10% worm casting). It’s outdoor in Southern California so it’s getting lots of sun, warmth, not a lot of humidity.

I found some of the hairy root was starting to rot when I took it out of the nursery pot. I thought it came in a 100% lava rock medium, turns out that was just the top layer. The rest was gritty and sandy — I was overwatering it for a few weeks.

I trimmed off the rotten hairy roots now unsure how deep to pot it. It was sitting at the red line. I’m new to caudex so I don’t know how depth interacts with other things like a fatter caudex/ branch growth/ rot risks, etc.

I also am debating on which pot to use. It’s got a rigid root system so it needs a big pot (like the groovy one, glazed) to accommodate its widths. I’m kinda terrified that a big pot will make it rot more likely.

Alternatively I can stick with the nursery pot since the roots have already adapted to the pot shape and it’s smaller than the alternatives.

Timex’s instruction on setting time, date, and moon phase.

There are similar posts/comments scattered across various subreddits but I hope this is helpful. This is Timex’s official instruction/tips to set everything on the Noah Moon phase watch. Ignore the instruction on week, months, and sun for the Noah collab.

The crown has three positions as opposed to the normal two. The intermediate is for setting dates quickly, even though you can also change dates by winding 24 hours.

You change moon phase by changing time clockwise instead of dates, which is really tedious.

It also includes some useful info like not setting dates between 9pm and midnight; setting moon phase during new or full moon to really maximize accuracy. The next new moon is in a few days on May 16th!

One thing I am still not sure about is how the watch manage the number of days in a month. I wonder if we need to manually change dates at the beginning of every month.

Something is eating my bak choy and leaving these tiny black droppings or eggs. I don’t see any visible bugs

This is my only “crop” like plant. I thought the droppings might be caterpillar poop but I don’t see them or anything else besides the droppings. Not super attached to it so might throw it away if it’s anything contagious.

Got the plant at a garden sale two weeks ago and have not replanted it yet. The plant gets direct sun all day and gets watered multiple times a week when it dries out completely (it’s very root bound so it dries out fast). Unclear about the soil type— prob whatever is the most common in garden stores.
