Context: me and my partner were just parked at an outpost we were taking it slow since he hasn't played the game for quite some time and I was planning what we're going to do in our session, a sloop of 2 players passes by sold their stuff and wanted to do an alliance, I accepted and they kept using text chat saying "come". ofcourse I obliged since I'm curious to what they want. my partner at this time went afk to get some snacks. the two of them just kept saying for me to come on their ship and I've been asking them in voice chat to what they want and told them my partner was afk, when I boarded their ship they started sailing the other guy went to my ship and started sailing it as well to the same direction, we then encountered skeleton ships and I helped them take those down but in the process they somehow sank my ship. got my ship back and went back to the outpost we were at (they were still there) then they messaged "come" again as to which I replied that I'm teaching my partner how to play again.

so my main question is why do these seemingly friendly players tend to take my ship without them explaining what help they need from me cuz this isn't the first time I encountered this same scenario and I would just rather them to tell me clearly what they need.

I know this is unnecessarily long but I am just really confused about this in game behavior since it has happened to me multiple times already lol.
