I keep seeing people say “don’t blame Sony, blame Bungie leadership.”

No. Blame both.

Bungie leadership deserves blame for the decisions that got Destiny here. They mismanaged the game, chased the wrong priorities, and damaged player trust.

But Sony owns Bungie now. Sony is not a random spectator. They can choose to fund support. They can choose to keep a small team fixing bugs. They can choose to treat Destiny like a valuable franchise instead of a legacy product they are letting fade.

Supporting Destiny is not charity. The game still has players, revenue, brand value, and a community that clearly still cares.

If Sony wants people to trust future PlayStation live-service games, refusing to show basic care for Destiny is exactly the wrong message.

So yes: blame Bungie leadership for creating the mess.

But blame Sony too, because Sony owns the mess now and is choosing what to do with it.
