Robo (Telugu)

Revisiting this amazing album.

AR Rahman 🫡 Legend.

Listening to these lossless tracks on a DAP with a good IEM makes a huge difference.

Man, I'm so immersed. I'm hearing sounds that I've never heard before on commercial Bluetooth headphones.

SPB's dual-modulation vocals in Maramanishi are impeccable.

The beats in Inumulo O Hridayam.

The drums and electric guitars in Harima Harima.

I wish more people would get back to listening to music through wired setups. You'd definitely appreciate these amazingly mastered records.

For anyone who owns a DAP this is a must have album.

Oopiri .. Oka Life

Anyone Remember this 10 year old album ? I love it! Especially this particular song. Gopi Sundar gave us some memorable songs.

Finally joined the wired IEM club! 🎧

As the title suggests, after years of using Bluetooth headphones (Bose QC Ultra with aptX Lossless), I decided to give wired IEMs a try.

Setup:

DUNU Kima 2 (Raven Teal)

FiiO KA11 (Titanium)

Vivo X300 Ultra

USB Audio Player Pro (bit-perfect USB passthrough)

One thing I didn't expect was how well the Titanium KA11 matches the Kima 2's cable and 3.5 mm jack. It almost looks like they were designed together. 😄

I also spent some time trying the included ear tips. I started with the Candy tips, which were super comfortable and gave a warmer sound, but I eventually settled on the DUNU S&S tips.

For my ears, the S&S tips noticeably improved:

Instrument separation

Clarity

Imaging

Drum and bass guitar texture

The Candy tips were great, but they sounded a little too warm for my preference.

I'm honestly surprised by how much of a difference ear tips can make.

Coming from wireless headphones, I also wasn't expecting the jump in realism. The first thing that caught my attention was the natural drum decay, guitar string resonance, and overall timbre. It made me revisit some of my favorite 2000s soundtracks.

Any recommendations for a newcomer?

KA11 filter preference?

Favorite ear tips with the Kima 2?

Anything else I should try or know?

Shot On X300 Ultra

Been using the X300 Ultra for a while and I'm loving the camera. All three lenses are great, but the telephoto is definitely the standout for me. Colors look fantastic, and the Album app has surprisingly good editing tools. Sharing a few shots I took.
