Title says it all.
What's the worst "ice breaker" you've been approached with on a dating app?
One of mine must be:
"hey, you looked sort-of cute in this picture"
(implying my other photos were godawful? idk)
Hey everyone,
I’ve been tracking my training with a smartwatch for a while now, and while I love having accurate stats for my actual runs, I’m starting to feel a bit overloaded by the constant stream of daily metric; heart rate, sleep scores, stress levels, recovery notifications, step counts, etc.
I’m considering switching to using my watch strictly as a training tool: putting it on for runs and workouts, and taking it off for the rest of the day to get a break from the data.
For those of you who have tried this or made the permanent switch:
- How did it impact your training, recovery, or overall relationship with running?
- Did you miss any specific continuous features (like long-term HR trends or sleep tracking), or was the mental reset worth it?
- Did it change how you approach listening to your body vs. relying on data?
I’d love to hear how it worked out for you, whether it was a positive shift or if you ended up going back to 24/7 wear. Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts!
Hey everyone,
I took my favourite loafers to get them repaired, but got the tragic news it’s unfixable. I’m posting this here as a last hope, incase you have any suggestions.
I noticed a crack under the heel, see photo. The heel and under-sole are in one piece, and made of something soft-ish (AI says polyurethane?)
Is there anything to do?
I absolutely adore them, but cost me five pounds at a charity shop a couple of years ago. So while they’re used with love and care, I don’t know how old they actually are.
