[Open Spoilers] Doing my forst reread and Myne is already an expert at writing checks with her mouth that her body can't cash.

You'd think the idea of religion would've quickly made the idea of holy scripture come to her mind to get excited about.

She's obviously involved here because it's Sumeru, but I'm pleasantly surprised how recurring she is.

Cool small character/big weapon combos?

Big weapons are always a good time, and they are often enhanced by a juxtaposition between them and a tiny wielder.

[P5V12] Finished the main series, sad it's over but this is easily my favorite book series.

Made a previous post last month for when I had first started reading the LNs, and now that it's done I just want to gush more. Just sort of doing a stream of consciousness thing right now.

The Royal Academy made for a fun school setting, so many more people got to see Myne get up to crazy shit all the time, it was great. And things really escalated the further they went along, as a lover of political intrigue P4/P5 had so much to enjoy but boy was I stressing during parts, especially as Georgine's plans just kept getting pushed back when I thought they would've been addressed and dealt with much earlier. It escalating to involving Lanzenave and all that business was a big surprise. I ended up blazing through P5V8-10 in like a day with how compelling all that conflict was.

And speaking of P5V10, man Ferdinand really is the Lord of Evil, my goodness. Of course Gervasio deserved it, but I could not get over how mean Ferdinand was with his machinations.

To hone in on a couple characters, first I was relieved how things worked out for Wilfried. When his situation got more and more strained, I was really feeling bad for him because he wanted to do well but was just too naive and easily influenced, plus he was dealt a bad hand from the start with being raised by Veronica. After his engagement with Myne was off and he was no longer set up to be the Aub, I was glad to see him return to his old ways and sibling relationships. Meanwhile, I felt bad for Judithe because poor girl just kept getting left out of stuff, even until the very end when her dad wouldn't let her guard the whole trip to Alexandria and she had to stop at the border. Many times I was like, "You'll get your moment, Judithe!" but I feel like she never really did.

As I neared the end, the combo of farewells as Myne left Ehrenfest (btw while her interactions with Elvira and Florencia throughout the series were pretty slight, their private talks with her were just wonderful), the wholesome moments with Ferdinand, and her reconnecting with her commoner family (RIP Kamil tho, dude's gonna get drowned in love) really got me emotional. Whether it was laughing (cuz boy does Myne never stop being an absolute riot of a protagonist) or crying or what have you, this series had my heart the whole way through.

I'm really glad there's more content which I only just realized today since I was so focused on the main series. Currently got Short Story Collection V1/V2, Royal Academy Stories V1, and H5Y V1 ordered and on the way. Though they won't be in until Friday, in the mean time I'll go through the next book on my to-do list, Murtagh, that's been on my shelf for awhile that I hadn't gotten to. Though since I am waiting for physical releases I am sad that I'm just about caught up now. I hear there's talks or at least a potential of a sequel series after H5Y but of course that would be even farther into the future.
