Terrible terrible taste

I had two upper maxillary molars extracted last month on July 21st and then on August 10th I had my lower wisdom tooth on that same side removed. It was impacted. The surgery was around an hour, hour and a half or so and a little before they started stitching me up the power went out and it took a minute for them to switch to the generator. The surgeon said I bled too much and they needed to stop so they left the roots behind. It bled a lot that night and several clots came out but I don’t know if it was just the blood coagulating because it was quite a bit. Anyways, it’s been a few days and the taste is absolutely terrible and anything I try to eat is fouled by the awful taste. I’m at the point I’m not eating and barely drinking any water because it tastes so awful. I can’t really see the extraction site itself everything is still so swollen that my gums are even swollen over my molar. I’m worried. Do you think they’ll have to remove the roots with another surgery? I really don’t want to go through that again. The laughing gas does nothing for me and they won’t sedate me. The shots definitely help but I just get so anxious. I don’t want to go through it again but I can’t live with this taste it’s genuinely so awful it makes me gag. Help

Why are so many thin people taking glp-1s? Any obese content creators I can follow?

I took my first dose of Saxenda (only one insurance covers) yesterday and I’ve been researching and watching videos about glp-1s for a while now and I can’t help but notice the vast majority of people I see taking them (for the purpose of losing weight) are already relatively thin?? I am not, I’m class 3 morbidly obese and heavily considered whether taking these would be a good option for me or not. Honestly, I’ve been really scared about potential long term effects and also the high probability of needing to take this medication for the rest of my life. I’m just kind of shocked to see people who I don’t even think would be considered overweight let alone obese taking these medications for the sole purpose of losing weight and it’s kind of disheartening not being able to find anyone that looks like me sharing their journey and experience. If you guys know of any creators who are genuinely obese (or started that way) making content showing their journey please put me on them! Drop their usernames and platforms in the comments so I can check them out!

Also, anyone on Saxenda - when does the nausea go away? I took it at 7pm last night and it is now 2pm and just finally letting up a bit but now I have a headache :/

Truly a mystery… or is it? Dun dun dunnnnnn

Alright, so I got this guy randomly in a pack of trumpet snails my husband ordered. There were three of them total. The other two stayed tiny, about the size of a penny, but this guy got HUGE even surpassing my older mystery snails. He has been mating with my female mystery snails, I’ve seen it so I know he’s a boy BUT my females haven’t been laying many clutches and the ones they do lay are pretty small? And only one has been viable. Is he truly a mystery snail or is he some other type of apple snail? I also strongly suspect he’s been eating my damn plants, I literally just caught him in the act, which leads me to think maybe he isn’t a mystery snail? What do you guys think? And why are the other ones still tiny? Also the small ones tend to stay basically buried in the substrate.

Also, I know my orange girl is rough looking - she’s a rescue and came with that giant crack but she seems to be doing well despite that and is the mama that laid the one viable egg cluster.

Baby daphnia or something else?

Trying to grow a daphnia culture and wondering if these are babies or something else? I put a few bigger daphnia in this tank from my hatchery green water jar just to help clean up (this is a nursery tank for my baby mystery snails) and I noticed some green build up on the crushed coral but today I noticed these tiny little dancing specs and I’m wondering if these are daphnia or some other microfauna? Thanks in advance!

Two maxillary molars removed and a sinus communication repaired

I had two upper maxillary molars removed and a sinus communication repaired on the 21st of this month. Healing is going well, not tons of pain but the stitch going into my lip/inner cheek HURTS like hell and is constantly getting yanked because there’s so much excess line I have to tuck it up in my gumline to try to avoid snagging it on anything. Any idea why they would’ve put one there? I don’t get the point of it being there but also can someone talk me out of cutting the excess line? I’m sure I shouldn’t but it’s just so annoying. Thanks!

That’s just a snail hitching a ride, right?

Okay, so long story short we thought it would be a fun project to raise tadpoles into frogs with the kids this summer. They’re finally starting to have their back legs pop out but I noticed this guy has a hitchhiker on his back. Truth be told, there are TONS of baby pest snails in the tank too and I had assumed this is just one that’s hitched a ride on this poor guy but it’s been like two days now and he’s still there. The tadpole is alive, though having some issue swimming because of the additional weight. Is this a snail as I suspected or a bigger issue? And should I try to remove it? Looking at the pictures I’m worried it could be like a leech or something? Also, if you know what kind of frog these will be that would be cool to know. Got them from the wild in PA.
EDIT: I zoinked the tadpole out of the tank and got the thing off of it annnnndddd it started moving exactly like a leech so my bet is it’s a tiny leech. Anyways, it’s been removed and I’m thoroughly searching the tank for any more. What can I do to kill them off without hurting the tadpoles or any other creatures in the tank?

What kind of snail are these guys?

I got like four of them in a pack of trumpet snails, clearly they aren’t trumpet snails but what are they? Apple?? And can they crossbreed with mystery snails? I have two mystery snail males in the same tank. Not sure what the sexes are of these ones though as I haven’t checked.
