AI (ChatGPT and Claude) told me that Nietzsche’s goal with the “deep chastity” he mentions in Beyond Good and Evil and Thus Spoke Zarathustra is to control your passion and transform it into another form, for example art.

When I asked whether that means I could have sex with prostitutes 7 times a month, but as long as I limit the number to 7 and never go over it, the AI said that this could be okay. But if I am a person who spends the whole month eagerly waiting for that day to come, constantly looking forward to it, and even wanting to extend it, then that would be wrong. In that case, I am supposedly not mastering the passion; the passion is mastering me.

Honestly, this really damages my opinion of Nietzsche if that is actually what he meant. I mean, it’s true that an AI can make mistakes, but let’s push the same AI further and ask it to say what Nietzsche actually meant: was Nietzsche saying that lust for sexual intercourse is itself something one should abstain from, no matter how well one controls it?

I’m trying to understand whether this is really Nietzsche’s position, or whether the AI is simply imposing a modern idea of self-control/sublimation onto Nietzsche.

Well I just started writing something longer than I usually do, with lots of more characters and plot points ths my previous stuff. I started with the exercise of decidong voices, tone, the way dialogue is incorporated in the text, etc. and didn't write much of the major plot point. What's the best way/format to have your main ideas written down. In one hand, so you don't miss the forest for the tree, and can actually have mind what the overarching ptoject/narrative is, and on the other hand, just to avoid forgetting stuff and the connections between main ideas.

I know there are infinite ways to do this, I want to know what have you found to be the best way/the one that suits you better

I come from philosophy where the concept of an "outdated" work is not so common —surely there will be always someone that can get something new out of every book.

My grandad was a historian and he passed away recently. I've been going through his books and noticed some that may be of interest eventually. Mainly secondary sources. For example, Eric Hobsbawn's "History of the 20th century".

My questios is what should I do to see if some of these books are relevant. Many of them will surely not be so, as they are very old. Some of them may still be of interest.

I mean I know there are other languages but Plato and Aristotle write in greek???? I mean nobody speaks greek why would they do that???? Don't they want people to understand them, and also they won't know what the english translation will say, so I could say I just translated the Nicomachean ethics but make it full of sex and violence and Aristotle wouldn't ever know? He doesn't speak english???

You’re more intelligent than the rest, and you know what lies outside the cave. Therefore, you’re closer to being the Philosopher-King. You have more authority than ordinary people. Why should your vote be worth the same as theirs?

How can I get lawmakers to pass this legislation and turn my country into a superpower?

I wonder if having sex is still possible after becoming a philosopher or if it dumbs you down and you should avoid it.

I just finished reading the whole SEP and listened to the whole HoP podcast as far as it has gotten. I also have read and re-read Russell's History of Western Philosophy. I think that I'm ready to start calling myself a philosopher.

I was wondering if having sex is still allowed when you're smart. I don't want to become stupid again. I have protect my powerful brain now. But I would be interested in having sex if there was an opportunity.

I have never had sex before, but I can get to study it so I can become good. But also I want to remain brilliant and strat solving problems like the existence of God or the meaning of life in the universe and everything.

EDIT: I've noticed that the only people that get laid in this field are pedos, which is horrible. And also French, which is also kinda cringe.
