Suggestions: Dolomites in October

Hey everyone, planning a trip to the Dolomites for October 5–10 and would love some local/insider recommendations.

We're not after a proper hiking trip, no long technical routes or peak-bagging.

More interested in peaceful places, scenic short-to-moderate walks, lakes, viewpoints, and spots where we can just sit, soak in the views, and enjoy the autumn colors at a relaxed pace.

We'll be relying on public transport (buses/trains) rather than renting a car, so accessibility via local bus routes is a big factor for us.

Lago di Braies is already on our list but are there other lesser-known lakes or valleys with that same calm vibe that are reachable without a car?

Open to any tips - trail names, towns, hidden gems, bus route numbers, even "skip this, it's overrated."

Thanks in advance!
