iPhone boot loop with water damage: Access iCloud photos?

My iPhone completely shut down on me and now all the appears on the screen is a repetitive loop of the Apple logo and an image of a laptop with a lightning cable. I brought it to the Apple store and they ran a diagnostic showing that my power was intact. Given that, they proceeded to attempt doing a forced update which unfortunately did not work after many attempts. In addition, I wanted to add that they did find traces of water damage in my phone which they commented is likely the reason there is a repetitive loop of the Apple logo and other image. A big concern of mine is that my iPhone has not been backed up since '22 (the same year I purchased the phone). Instead, things such as my photos, messages, and notes have been syncing to iCloud up until around June 25th of this year. They recommended that I move forward with my provider and I will likely need to purchase a new phone. My concern is that iCloud sync is of course not as secure as backup, and although I feel that I will unfortunately not be able to salvage any images I have past June 25th, I would like to be able to still have my photos from all dates before that. If I purchase a new phone, given that it is likely my current phone will be unable to turn on or be accessed, what could happen to my iCloud? Also, is there something preventative I could do such as possibly downloading my photos onto a flashdrive, etc? I am honestly just upset of all the data I feel that I have already lost and genuinely hope that I won't loose/can save what I currently have access to through my iCloud right now. Thank you!

ECON 160+162

I’m going to be taking micro and macro simultaneously next semester, alongside upper level courses for my other major. I understand that usually 100 level prerequisite courses are somewhat like their AP equivalencies but I wanted to know what I can do to review now and make note of to be prepped for the class. I was thinking of reviewing content made on YouTube for the APs but if there’s anything not covered there but covered in class I would like to know. If it makes any differences, I have Ozlem for 160 and Kenneth for 162.

Rising junior interested in I/O psychology — What should I be doing now?

Hi everyone! I’m currently an undergraduate psychology major and rising junior, and I’ve recently been considering a career in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. I’m trying to be more intentional about what I do over the next two years so I can build relevant experience and figure out if this is the right path for me.

I was wondering what kinds of jobs, internships, or experiences would be most helpful for someone at my stage. Should I be looking into HR internships, recruiting/talent acquisition, people operations, training and development, research assistant positions, or something else?

I’m also curious about what skills or certifications would be useful to start building now.

For those of you who work in I/O psych, are in grad school, or took a similar path: what would you recommend an undergrad do to become a stronger candidate for internships, jobs, or future I/O psychology graduate programs?

Any advice on specific steps to take, things to avoid, or experiences that helped you would be really appreciated. Thank you!

Question abt GPA

If I were to take a class that satisfied a degree requirement that has already been satisfied, if I receive a higher grade in that class is there a way to have that put in place of that already satisfied credit to raise my major gpa? I understand that the class will continue to be a part of of my cumulative GPA but does Harper allow you to do that switch?
