Trimix titration: how firm is firm enough?

When people say they titrated Trimix until they found the right dose, do you mean 100% firmness, or were you satisfied with 90% (or less)? At what point did you stop increasing the dose

If Trimix 20:30:2 had little or no effect, what stronger formula did your urologist prescribe next?

I’ve titrated Trimix 20:30:2 and it hasn’t been very effective for me. For those who had a similar experience, what stronger Trimix formulation did your urologist prescribe next?

I’m not looking for dosing advice, just curious what formulations people were switched to so I have an idea before discussing it with my urologist. Thanks!

Failed Trimix titration — add more injection or stop Cialis next time?

I’m looking for feedback from others who have experience with intracavernosal injection therapy (Trimix), especially when also using PDE5 inhibitors like Cialis.

I recently tried a dose of 40 units of Trimix, and also took 20 mg Cialis (tadalafil) the same day. The result was about 90% rigidity, which was usable but not fully optimal. Interestingly, about an hour later (while resting/sleeping), I felt what seemed like close to 100% rigidity.

This is my first phase of titration and I’m trying to understand the best adjustment going forward.
My question is:

For the next attempt, would it generally make more sense to:

Increase the Trimix dose and keep Cialis, or
Keep the same injection dose but stop Cialis to better evaluate Trimix alone?

I’m trying to avoid overshooting the dose, but also want to find the most effective minimum setup.

Canadian telehealth recommendations for Trimix / advanced treatments?

Hi everyone,

I have used Trimix injections successfully in the past, but my current supply is completely expired and I need a new prescription.

I am trying to bypass the massive wait times for an in-person Canadian urologist. Has anyone here successfully used a legitimate online medical platform in Canada to get a Trimix script renewed?

Ideally, I want to find a service that recognizes I am already an experienced user so I don't have to pay for mandatory "first-time injection training" fees if possible. Let me know which Canadian virtual clinics you've had good experiences with.

Thank you!

Any Canadians here used a telehealth/online clinic for a Trimix prescription or specialized ED meds? Looking for recommendations.

Hey guys,

I'm based in Canada and looking to get Trimix prescription, my previous prescription expired. Since accessing an in-person urologist here can take months, I am looking to use a virtual/telehealth clinic.
For the Canadian users in this sub:

Which online clinic did you use to get your Trimix prescription?

What compounding pharmacy do you use to fill it, and do they ship cross-province? (Please let me know your approximate monthly cost if you're comfortable sharing).

Did the virtual clinic require you to do your first test dose/training injection in-office, or did they allow a virtual walkthrough?

Thanks for any guidance!

Finally found the correct injection site – question about next titration step

After many failed Trimix attempts that turned out to be caused by injecting in the wrong location, I finally got the injection site right.

I’m using a strong Trimix formula (20:30:02) and worked my way up to 60 units. With the addition of 5 mg Cialis, I achieved about a 95/100 erection. It was very good and usable, but not quite rock hard.

For my next injection, I’m wondering what others with similar experience have done:

●	Should I increase the Trimix slightly to 61 or 62 units while still taking the 5 mg Cialis?
●	Or, if I increase to 61–62 units, would it be better not to take the Cialis to avoid overdoing it?

Unfortunately, my urologist is very difficult to reach between appointments, so I’m interested in hearing from people who have gone through the same titration process
.
I know everyone’s response is different, and I’m not looking for medical advice—just real-world experiences.
Thanks!

How do you discreetly store medication in the fridge so others can’t read the label?

Looking for ideas to keep a medication name private when storing it in the fridge. I’d like family members not to be able to read the label at a glance, while still keeping the medication stored safely and properly. Any products, containers, covers, or other solutions that have worked for you?

Has anyone experienced this with Trimix?

The injection worked and produced a good erection, but I also felt pressure and mild pain in the testicular area and around the rectum/pelvic floor. It wasn’t severe, just uncomfortable.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, did you find out what was causing it?

Thanks

Switching from 5/16” to 1/2” needle for Trimix — noticed blood entering syringe before injection. What does that mean

I recently switched from a 5/16” needle to a 1/2” needle for Trimix injections.

With the 1/2” needle, I noticed something new:
Before even pushing the medication, I sometimes see a small amount of blood (around 0.01–0.02 mL) entering the syringe barrel right after inserting the needle.
I’m a bit confused about what this means.

Am I hitting a small blood vessel?
Does this mean I’m in the correct erectile tissue (corpus cavernosum)?

Or is this something related to technique or needle depth?
The injection still produces some response (partial erection), but I’m trying to understand whether this blood in the syringe is normal or a sign I need to adjust technique.

Has anyone experienced this when switching needle length?

Urologist won’t renew Trimix prescription – is this normal?

I was referred to a urologist by my family doctor for ED. The urologist evaluated me, prescribed Trimix, and the pharmacy filled the prescription.

When it came time for a renewal, the pharmacy contacted the urologist’s office. The urologist reportedly replied that he is not my family doctor and therefore cannot renew the prescription.

However, my family doctor says she cannot prescribe Trimix and that only the urologist can do it.
So now I’m stuck between the two doctors, with each saying the other should handle it.

Has anyone else run into this situation? Is it normal for a urologist to prescribe Trimix initially but refuse to renew it afterward? How are renewals usually handled where you live?

Cialis worked for years, now struggling even with Trimix. Looking for advice.

60 years old here. Cialis worked well for years, but over time I developed anxiety about losing my erection and felt I had to penetrate immediately or risk going soft.
About 6 months ago, I stopped getting usable erections altogether. I’ve tried higher doses of ED meds, L-citrulline, beetroot powder, gym workouts, pelvic floor therapy, and had a full medical workup. The only issue found was iron deficiency.

My urologist tested 0.8 mL of regular Trimix in the office, which produced only a partial erection. He then prescribed double-strength Trimix (20:30:02) for home use. My first three injections were complete busts, although I now suspect I may have missed the injection site.
Does this sound more like a dosing issue, injection technique problem, venous leak, performance anxiety, or something else? Also, if 0.8 mL of regular Trimix only gave a partial response, what starting dose of 20:30:02 did your doctor have you use?

Any similar experiences or advice would be appreciated.

Cialis worked for years, now struggling even with Trimix. Looking for advice.

I’m 60 years old. For many years, Cialis worked reasonably well for me, but during the last couple of years I developed a lot of performance anxiety during intercourse. Every time I was with my wife, I felt rushed to penetrate immediately because I was afraid I would lose my erection if I waited even a minute or two.

About 6 months ago, things got much worse. I became unable to get a usable erection at all.
Since then, I’ve tried pretty much everything:
● Increased Cialis and other ED medication dosages.
● Added L-citrulline and beetroot powder (slight improvement only).
● Full blood work and medical testing.
● The only issue found was iron deficiency.
● Started going to the gym regularly.
● Saw a pelvic floor therapist.
● No meaningful improvement.

I eventually saw a urologist. During an office test, I received 0.8 mL of regular Trimix. I got a partial erection, but it was still not sufficient for intercourse.
The urologist then prescribed a double-strength Trimix (20:30:02) for home use. Unfortunately, my first three injections at home were complete busts. Looking back, I believe I may have missed
the injection site on all three attempts.

My questions:
1. Based on this history, does this sound more like a dosing issue, an injection technique issue, venous leak, performance anxiety, or something else?
2. Has anyone had poor results with regular Trimix in the office but good results after switching to a stronger formula?
3. If 0.8 mL of regular Trimix only produced a partial erection, what dose of a double-strength 20:30:02 formula did your doctor have you start with?
4. Any tips for confirming that the medication is actually being delivered into the correct area every time?
I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through something similar.

Struggling to Find 29G/30G 1/2” Needles — Could Length Be the Issue?

I contacted around 30 pharmacies trying to find 29G or 30G 1/2” needles, but no luck—the smallest gauge I could find was 27G. I’m looking for a longer needle because I suspect my repeated failed injection attempts may be due to the 5/16” syringes I’m currently using being too short. Has anyone experienced something similar or found a reliable source for 1/2” needles?

Trimix injection technique

Question: When injecting Trimix, if you insert the needle all the way to the hub, do you also gently compress or push the skin to ensure the needle penetrates a little deeper, or is inserting the needle fully through the skin sufficient? I’m trying to understand whether any additional pressure on the skin is recommended once the needle is fully inserted.

Injecting 0.5 mL+ of Trimix 20:30:02—can a urologist prescribe a stronger mix to lower the liquid volume?

Hey guys,

For anyone on Trimix, if you have to inject a high volume (0.5 mL or more) of a strong 20:30:02 formula to get results, can a urologist prescribe an even stronger, more concentrated mix?

Ideally, I want to find out if doctors can adjust the strength so you can inject a much smaller volume of liquid (like 0.1 or 0.2 mL) but still get the same effect. Has your doctor ever done this for you?

Trimix/Injections: Is it my technique or is 0.1ml too weak? Getting discouraged

Hey guys, I'm about ready to give up on penile injections.
My doctor tried a weaker formula in the office (0.5 ml) which gave me a 1-hour partial erection. He upgraded me to a stronger formula for home.

So far at home, I've tried 3 times. The first two were total misses. The third time, I injected 0.1 ml and got a partial erection for only 20 minutes.

I'm stuck. Is 0.1 ml just an incredibly low starting dose for a stronger formula, or am I still messing up the injection technique? I don't know what else to do at this point. Any tips on perfecting the angle/depth.

How to tell I’m hitting the right injection site?

Trimix question: Syringe parallel to the floor?

Hey guys, quick question about injection angles.

When standing up, with the shaft tip pointing straight at the wall in front of you, does the syringe need to be completely parallel to the floor?

I want to make sure I am getting the right 90-degree angle to avoid skin shots. How do you position your syringe?

Thanks!

Zero response to 0.5ml strong Trimix (20:30:02) but felt intense pressure/pain at the tip. Need advice.

Hey guys, looking for some insight from anyone who has struggled to get results with Trimix.

My urologist wrote me a script for a 20:30:02 formula. The note says "use 0.5 ml prn, may titrate up."
I tried a 0.5 ml dose, but I am still not getting very hard at all. However, shortly after the injection, I felt a lot of physical pressure and a little bit of pain localized right at the tip of my shaft.

Because 0.5 ml is already a very high volume of liquid, I don't want to just keep increasing the fluid volume to 0.6 ml.

For those who had a high volume fail or felt that specific pressure at the tip, what was the issue?

Did I miss the chamber and accidentally inject into the urethra or under the skin?
Did you have to switch to a stronger mix (like QuadMix) instead of pushing more volume?
Did it turn out to be a venous leak?
Appreciate any experiences or advice on what to ask my urologist next. Thanks.

Question for experienced Trimix users: syringe size

What syringe type do you use, and would you recommend it to a new user? I’ve heard that syringe choice can affect comfort and injection success. Looking forward to hearing your experiences.

Thanks
