While accepting my admission on empower it said that i need to bring attested copies of my degrees but where do i get my transcript attested from? i had sent my degree for attestation at hec e service in april and its verification is still pending. even if i submit my transcript for attestion rn on the hec portal, it wont be attested on time. so can anyone guide me about this? and for the challan, i have to go to the admissions office so what would they ask to generate my challan? my empower roll number..?

FC or GC?

for mphil in Pol science should I go for FC for GC? how is the Pol science dept of FC? GC is well known for Pol science but i hate on how outdated their system and professors are also. is the degree from FCC worth it in academia or GC is much better? fyi I have already gotten admission in GC and paid my fees, for FC I would have to waste the 1st installment at gc and again pay.

am i overthinking?

i got engaged a few months ago. It is an arranged marriage, and we both have a 4-5 year age gap. The engagement happened quite quickly after his parents talked to mine, and they also arranged a meeting for us before the engagement where we didn't talk anything marriage related. He just talked about his job, and I talked about mine. After 3 weeks, we got engaged.

Now the thing is, i am not that big and keen on relationships. On our engagement, I was the most concerned about the texting and video calls that start after engagement. because what i had seen from my sister's marriage, her husband started texting and video calling her even before their engagement. Even my cousins who were engaged said the same that converstaions had started, and they even met at times. however these stories were nothing less than a horror show for me as i HATE texting, having those cheesy video calls late at night etc.

Fast forward to months after my engagement, my fiancé hasn't once reached out to me. He hasn't sent a request on my socials, asked for my number or initiated any conversation. On our engagement, he didn't try to initiate a conversation with me, and i stayed quiet cause i am naturally a shy person. We also had a family dinner after our engagement, but he said nothing to me other than salam. now idk if I am reading way too much into this and his no contact...

lilke a part of me is RELIEVED that i don't have to keep my pretences on text, do video calls. i am focusing on my life, my career, my studies, but a tiny part of my brain is like, why is he not reaching out? i think a part of me wants the validation but idk i feel very confused on this.

my mom and sister are very happy about this, and they were like it means he is a serious guy and focusing on his career cause our marriage is to happen after 2-3 years. my mom constantly says and my future MIL also that my fiancé is a very quiet-natured person and career-oriented, so maybe that's why he doesn't reach out(?) because i love overthinking; my mind is now like maybe he is not interested in me, maybe he is not happy with the engament all that crap

mphil interviews??

i think gc is probably the worst administration i have seen so far. i have applied for mphil over there and was assured by the admissions registrar that if i have a valid NTS GAT score, then there is no need to give the GCU GAT. The same has been mentioned on their webiste. However, there are no details on where to add your NTS GAT result. i added mine in the academics tab.

now today, interview lists are up and ALL of the students selected are the ones that have given the GCU GAT. I was even told in fb groups that they favour GCU GAT students, as their system only shows those students to the administration?? if this is the case then why do they say that NTS GAT is applicable? Why is there no proper system of informing students on where to upload stuff? i was also so confused when applying initially cause they dont send any confirmation email etc

i have even seen some kids say that they never received any call or email for their interviews and the list was put up literally a day before the date they are to be held. Most of them are from out of city and travelling to north. even i didnt know that lists are up, i randomly opened my portal and saw it but my tab says interview schedule not available. this is such a shitty way to conduct things. i just regret not applying in kinnaird now tbh because gc administration sucks big time. kinnaird sucks also but at least their system is better!!
