Why do some Black Americans say “there is no diaspora”?
(I’m Jamaican if that matters) More specifically with Caribbeans and Black Americans Didn’t we all come from the transatlantic slave trade and become enslaved by the European Whites? We’re all connected through history, the struggle our ancestors went through. Also were connected obviously by our African Blood from our ancestors as well and I know we’re culturally, geographically & ethnically different but we have our similarities as well. But the whole “diaspora doesn’t exist“ part is confusing to me

How Far can Most Afro Jamaicans trace our ancestors back in our Lineage?
I’m an Afro Jamaican but born in America so according to MOST of yall “I’m not Jamaican“ 🙄 but anyways I wanna know how far most of us can trace our Black Ancestors in Jamaica. I’ve never did any ancestry test or did my genealogy but I’ve been wanting to do that for the longest and find my family members.
