Pre debt court hearing proceedings for FPN

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice regarding a £600 fly-tipping Fixed Penalty Notice from Ealing Council.
I live above commercial premises and there are no communal bins for residents. My letting agent told us that residents leave their household rubbish at a particular location for collection.
The rubbish involved was ordinary household waste, but I put it out on a non-collection day.
I received the FPN in May and submitted a written explanation stating:
I live above businesses with no communal bins.
My letting agent advised that this was the correct place to leave rubbish.
The waste was normal household rubbish and not dumped illegally.
I received an acknowledgment email informing that that my representations would be reviewed and that I would receive a response. However, I never received any decision or acknowledgment of my explanation.
I have now received a “Pre-Court Proceedings” letter stating that the matter may be referred to the Magistrates’ Court if I do not pay the £600.
Has anyone experienced something similar with Ealing Council or another council? Should I ask for the evidence and confirmation that my representations were considered? Is it normal for a case to proceed without responding to the explanation that was submitted?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Fragrance-free shampoo and conditioner recommendations for scalp psoriasis remission?

Hi everyone,
I deal with fairly severe scalp psoriasis and usually treat it with coal tar (T/Gel) shampoo during flare-ups. When my scalp is in remission, I’d like to switch to a gentle, non-medicated shampoo to maintain scalp health and avoid irritation.
I’m specifically looking for:
Fragrance-free (or very low-irritant) shampoos
Something suitable for sensitive scalps / psoriasis-prone skin
Ideally available in the UK
Has anyone found a shampoo that works well for maintenance between flares without triggering irritation or worsening symptoms?
Would really appreciate any recommendations

NHS Pension

I’m 26, NHS Band 7, earning around £52k including HCA. My goal is to retire around 45 and I don’t like the idea of waiting until 68–69 to access my NHS pension.

Has anyone opted out of the NHS pension to invest more into ISAs or other investments for early retirement?

If you stayed in the pension, why? If you opted out, do you regret it?

Would appreciate hearing from people who have been in a similar position.

Lost Jewellery - Reward offered

Hello all,

I am aware that it is long shot; however I want to seek your help with my lost gold bangle which is a family heirloom and worth more than a grand.

I was at the Durdle Door beach this morning around 11-12.30. While i was there in the shore, my bangle slipped off from my hand and I believe it went along with the water current.

I would appreciate if you could offer any help with finding my jewellery and it has a great sentimental value.

I have attached the image of my bangle for reference.

This is so ridiculous and I am sure it’s not true. £600 for what 😭?

I live in a flat in Hanwell and unfortunately we don’t have any wheelie bin
So on the collection day we need to drop our rubbish near the collection point which is just a bin near a bus stop
Since receiving this letter I am so restless and I have night shift to work tonight and literally cannot sleep 😭
