So I finally tried a new character… and wow

I got iron fist to grandmaster 1 a couple of seasons. Currently grinding him up again. I had played a tiny bit of namor when I had just started. After 2 years of playing iron fist, they finally banned him in a game I was playing and was forced to play another character.

I literally don’t know how to play any other character so I said fuck it and chose the punisher.

Bro wtf are we doing to ourselves playing iron fist. It felt like I went from playing the game in legendary mode to easy mode. The skill difference is insane. Like why do we even bother with pillow fists. I just had to shoot down a main line and stacked up kills.

What is the number one indicator you look at when evaluating your gameplay?

As an iron fist main, I know there isn’t exactly just one indicator that shows how well you played but for me, the best indicator by for is total damage done in comparison to your teammates. Kills are nice but the real king is up time. More up time = more damage.

I’d rather have 15 kills 14k damage
Than 20 kills 7.5k damage

Is iron fist the thing base better than his enhanced?

Hear me out hear me out. With the new ruin combo just recently discovered. I’ve found myself actually liking the thing base team up more than the enhanced.

The combo in question

https://youtube.com/shorts/GttkcJWdv7k?is=rKiY-c-9xPsRjC8P

The beauty of this combo is that whiffing the first 3 hits and hitting them with the 4th and 5th is much much more consistent than trying to hit them with the 5th and 6th hit. There is a much bigger delay between the last two hit and the added push back also makes it more finicky than this new combo.

Funny enough you can’t do this combo with the enhanced thing team up since the follow up kick from the upper cut doesn’t do enough damage and pushes them away too far.

The enhanced thing combos have the slightly faster speed advantage but this new combo is soooo much more consistent.

What do you all think.?

Questions about new 9.5 combos

I had question about the new thing team up combo. When you hit the opponent with the last two hits of the normal string, why do the pros go for the special kick first and then the upper cut and follow up smash?

I find it way easier to first do the uppercut smash and then kick. Am I the only one? Is there a reason I’m not seeing?

What is the goat comedy movie this century?

What is the best comedy movie made after the year 2000? These are the options:

Old school
Scary movie 2
Tropic Thunder
Wedding Crashers
40 year old virgin
Super bad
Zoolander
Step brothers
Anchorman
Water boy (technically 90s but had to add sandler)
Rush hour (close enough)
MIB (close enough)
Pineapple Express
The hang over
Napoleon dynamite
Borat
The big Lebowski (close enough)
Legally blonde
White chicks
Austin powers (close enough)
Dodgeball
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Hot fuzz
The other guys
Bridesmaids
Talladega nights

If I missed one I apologize. For me I’d say the ones that resonated the most with me are: Superbad, Zoolander, and old school

It’s interesting that there really haven’t been any truly iconic comedies since like 2014.

Please I need help 🙏

I have a PlayStation 5 that I’m trying to connect to a gaming monitor and after two failed soundbar purchases I feel like giving up. The monitor has 2 hdmi ports but no optical cable port. It does have an aux port.

The sound bars only have one arc hdmi port and the optical and aux cable ports.

I assume I have to buy a sound bar with two hdmi ports to make this work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It’s driving me crazy.

Does anyone doubt that this is primarily a neurological disorder?

I mean to me it seems so obvious. Every single person I’ve met online who is very severe has strong sensory sensitivity symptoms; every single one. They also always describe concussion like symptoms as well as indescribable brain symptoms as well.

I know of many severe and moderate sufferers who don’t have much sensitivity symptoms but at the extremes, we literally all have them.

Also, unrelated. I can’t deal with this daily suffering anymore. It’s too much. Even swallowing my own saliva causes me suffering because of my noise sensitivity. I can’t tolerate other humans or much light. I always feel like my brain is poisoned. I think it’s time to go. It’s been too long.

The problem with our attack is our midfielders, not our forwards.

Our midfield is literally incapable of receiving a pass and turning. They had countless chances to do so but would always and I mean always chicken out and pass it back or make a lateral pass. This happened many times even when they had ample time to do so.

I’m sure el vasco has scared the shit out of them and made sure to drill in their heads that by no means are they to lose the ball in the center of the pitch but this is ridiculous. The only time I saw anyone receive the ball and turn was Bryan a couple of times in the second half as I’m sure he got an earful from el vasco. Obed tried but was nervous you can tell.

Raul has held up the ball well when asked, quinones looks always the most dangerous and even pinche piojo will deliver a decent cross here and there and will run his ass off but the midfield is dire.

Obviously there are no objectively best games of all time; I’m more interested in hearing your story and your top 7 games you’ve ever played. The games that have a special place in your heart.

I’ve been gaming since I was 6 years old (I’m 34 now) and have had so many beloved games but these are my top 7.

  1. FIFA- say what you want about fifa but I’ve loved soccer since I was 4 years old. This game has always been my comfort game. Something that I can just plug and play and not take seriously. Played fifa 05-2020 and always had a blast.

  2. World of Warcraft frozen throne- have so many fond memories playing the custom games like footy wars and early dota like custom games into the very late hours of the night.

  3. Socom 2- truly a revolutionary game when it comes to third person shooters. One of the first well functioning online multiplayer shooters and had a blast playing paint ball side games.

  4. Mortal kombat 1- I enjoy all games but at heart I am a fight game player. I’ve played all NRS games from mk9-mk1. Although this last installment had a terrible relesease, the game play was always very good and it has gotten me through some very dark times while I battle a debilitating illness.

  5. Gears of war 1- my god when I played that first online game and saw my first headshot, I was literally in awe. Another game that revolutionized the shooter genre. Spent so many hours competing my freshmen year of high school and love this game so much. It’s the best multiplayer game experience I’ve ever had. Nothing beats talking smack to the opposing team while you wait for the next round and see your buddy take it home for the team.

  6. Pokémon blue- it’s been 24 years and I still have the songs stuck in my head. Immersing myself in that game was such an amazing experience. Can’t believe how much fun could be had on that game boy color.

  7. Mortal kombat 9- I’ve always loved fighting games since I was a kid but this was the first game that hooked me in and never let go. I was obsessed with learning and getting better and eventually even traveling to compete. The level of depth in fighting games goes beyond any other genre I’ve ever played and the payoff is soooo satisfying once you start getting good. Learning frame data, footsies, normal types, oki, frame traps, match ups, dash blocking, knockdown setups, etc was so much fun and continue to enjoy fighting games to this day.

First off, I want to say that when the product actually works, it’s awesome. But had the time, the lights will just never connect. I’ve tried absolutely everything and half the time it just says “connecting” even though I literally just used them 20 minutes before. I don’t get how what is supposed to be a pretty simple interface is so damn buggy/flimsy.
