What Your Favorite Brush and Tool for Painting?

My favorite brush is the Rosemary Eclipse “Stubby Flat”. Domed filbert is also up there. For my favorite tool Trekell makes this “Wipe Out Tool” that’s basically like an eraser for oil paint.

Trust the process

Every time I start a new painting I go to bed thinking I’ve regressed. I’m not close to being finished, but I’m happy with where it’s at now finally.

180 hours in (WIP)

Portrait of my son as his DnD character. Started May 3rd (45 days ago). Might not seem like a lot accomplished for that amount of time, but I’m very new. I started painting in February, so it takes a lot of time/ trial and error for me to get things to look right. His portrait portion is 97% complete, background/everything else is about 20% complete. When I’m done it will hopefully look like he’s in an ice prison and you can make out a gated castle through a semi transparent portion of the wall. It’s been a great learning experience excited to finish with it in the next couple weeks.

What Useful Customizations Have You Made To Your Easel?

Looking for ideas to help condense space. For instance I have a power strip, paper towel holder, rubber glove dispenser, trash and articulating light mounted on my easel. What’s mounted on your easel/work station?
