Breaking News: Torture City announces new location for 2028
While I'm not a huge Logano Guy.....
Him getting hot and somehow winning the title in the first year of the renewed Chase would be so fucking funny
So what will the "x to the 48" be replaced by for the near future
Eventually we will return to this but now that we know Bowman and Hendrick's plan for this car until after 2027, what's the next talking point that we will discuss to death? Is it the RCR 33? Will we just go to back to "Next Gen Bad"? The possibilities are endless!
Before I get the comments, I am a Gibbs fan and I like Hocevar
But I like Corey Heim more lmao
Some of the street signs Around Indianapolis this weekend
I'm sure if I had gone on a scavenger hunt I could have found them all
You don't say!
I'm not sure how accurate radioactive is in terms of timing, but Harris tells Bowman to come late, Bowman doesn't look out the window and starts coming, than the spotter tells him "inside" after he's hit Reddick. Great communication by the whole team there
The biggest inter-team point gaps in the Cup Series
Here are the biggest sequential point positions between teammates for each of the multicar teams. I'll elaborate on them if I think it's interesting, but I'd love to hear your thoughts
JGR- Ty Gibbs (4th) to Christopher Bell (9th)
23XI- Bubba Wallace (13) to Riley Herbst (25): Funnily enough, this gap is only one spot bigger than the gap between Reddick (2) and Wallace. For me this indicates the inconsistency of the 23 team. Just can't seem to put it all together on a weekly basis. Big props to Herbst for the continued improvement
LMC- Erik Jones (16) to JHN (27): is Erik Jones overachieving or is JHN under-performing? Why not both!
Hendrick- William Byron (12) to Alex Bowman (29): Bowman missed 4 races.
Spire- Daniel Suarez (11) to McDowell (21): I've been disappointed in McDowell this year. Hope he picks it up going forward
Trackhouse- Chastain (20) to Connor Zilisch (34): no funkytown for you buddy
RCR- Austin Dillon (28) to the number 8 (renumbered to 33) owner points (30)
Kaulig- AJ Allmendinger (22) to Ty Dillon (31): AJ is out performing his equipment. Please get these guys some power steering
Penske- Blaney (3) to Cindric (14): hard carry by RFB
FRM- The Toddfather (24) to Gragson (30): I honestly expected this gap to be bigger.
RFK- Buescher (7) to Preece (18): don't say anything on the radio
Biggest sequential teammate gap: 17 points (Byron to Bowman), followed by 14 points (Chastain to Zilly)
If you were wondering, Katherine Legge is beating BJ McLeod
Drivers you used to hate but now not so much
I, like many a NASCAR fan, did not like Joey Logano. However my opinion of him has softened over time, due to a few reasons
He's a good dude off the track. Every time I hear him talk or hear people talk about meeting him nobody ever has a negative thing to say
The pendulum has swung too far. While the playoffs were bad we shouldn't act like Joey Logano is a Austin Dillon level driver who magically ended up winning 3 championships. Yes the Magic horseshoe definitely exists (glares at 2024) but nobody is that lucky
I know a lot of people have similar feelings about Kyle Busch (may he rest in peace) and Denny Hamlin, but who are some other drivers who you used to hate or dislike and have softened on over the years
Notable Points Situations with 8 races left
8 races to the chase**
Here are just a few of the points battles I am keeping my eye on throughout the field, excluding the cutline battle
First place: Hamlin (719) somehow jumps Reddick (718) and now holds a one point lead. Judging by momentum it feels like Hamlin's battle to lose
Third Place: Blaney (615), Gibbs (589) and Larson (571) are within 40 points of each other. Blaney and Larson have both been very consistent this year but Ty Gibbs seems to be in the best place to win in multiple weeks (imagine saying that before the year). However we have some of those flat tracks coming up, will be interesting to see if Penske can figure it out
Sixth Place: people smarter than me have said this is probably the lowest you can be in points with a shot to win the title. This is probably a three man race bwteen Elliott (554), Buscher (518) and Hocevar (509), but Suarez and bell could make things interesting
Herbst vs JHN: Herbst is currently 7 points ahead , and with the rumors of Herbst to LMC next year and JHN's stagnation it will be interesting to keep eye on this future teammate battle. Yes Herbst is in better equipment but he has shown improvement after a dreadful rookie of
Zilisch vs Cody Ware: if Zilly falls behind Ware trackhouse needs to have their charters repossessed
Alex Bowman: after missing 4 races, he has climbed to 29th. I doubt he gets into the top 20, but I am hopeful for 25th
Joey Logano: what the hell is going on
Would love your thoughts
Bro you also have the Giraffe
Obviously we all make mistakes but you have your own Farigiraf?
