I’m excited to see what Connor can do in the 48, and to see him leave Trackhouse, cause his initials aren’t SVG, will be a blessing. However, I can’t help but feel bad for both Corey Day and Rajah. These two have been backed personally by Mr H for years now. Personally, I thought Day was gonna get the 48 in 28 and JRM was gonna give Rajah a full year in the 88 in 27. Now I have to ask myself what happens with both of them. Now yes, they both still have a path to the Cup Series with Spire, and I do think that Day will inevitably replace McDowell once he’s either kicked out of the 71 or retires. As for Rajah, I would like to see him in Cup, and you never know what’s gonna happen with Suarez and that 7 car, but I’ll be fair and admit that Rajah needs to get more consistent results, which I think he will do now that he’s finishing out the year in the 88, before he even thinks of getting a Cup ride. Who knows, maybe it’ll be Rajah or Corey replacing Connor in the 88.
