Of all testing sessions, this is one of the most forgotten ones in NASCAR. Couldn't find it anywhere else besides the source above. The first photo is Randy Lajoie at Turns 2 and 3. The 2nd is Derrike Cope also at Turns 2 and 3. Ditto for Mike Wallace and Jason Keller. Testing officially wrapped up in January 21st with Kenny Irwin Jr. posting a speed of 190.609 mph in a Ford Taurus.

Sunday Announcement: Photographer Recruit! (weekly mod tradition from now on)

While I welcome all eras of racing, a minimum is, you must have atleast started photographing since 2014 or '13 (though 2018 or later is welcome) to be a partner to help supply the sub with new content, weekly or sometimes, daily. Videos are especially allowed, secondarily. This will be an exclusive thread for probably 2-4 days until it gets pinned. Show us what you got! (newer eras are gonna be announced on the next Sunday post. DMs are generally open anytime. Forum or any unique image you got that isn't taken by you is probably welcome. Mario Andretti, driving the Holman & Moody 429'er during the Can-Am Pro Meet, held at Texas World Speedway in College Station on November 9th, 1969.

Bruce McLaren would win the race with a speed of 176.7703 km/h driving the McLaren M8B Chevrolet (ironic name). Unfortunately Mario Andretti didn't finish the race due to an engine failure, running only 10 laps. Read the full stats here.
