Sources on Western Roman Empire Fashion and Roman-Britain fashion

The setting of my story and Worldbuilding is based on (for now) the Immigration Era which happens alongside the Fall of the Western Roman Empire and the Fall of Roman Britain. Not to mention Anglo-Saxon England.

Every time I research about fashion during the Western Roman Empire, it always shows me the stereotypical Roman fashion during the Late Republic and Early Imperial Era no matter how hard I try to find.

What sources (both digital and Physical, Literary) sources can you show me that best defines and illustrates what people (male and female) during the Western Roman Empire and the Fall of Roman Britain wore?

Cold War between London and Manila

So there is not much entries in regards to diplomacy between London and Manila aside from Filipino workers keeping British society alive in the early Post-Vanishing times.

So i have to ask:

  1. What is the likelihood of a Cold War between London and Manila?

  2. If Yes, what ideologies do London and Manila champion that they pit against each other?

  3. If yes, what Events defined said Cold War?

  4. Since the Manila Compact stretches into the future, how did Manila triumph against London?

  5. On a less important note, how does the Manila Compact exert its influence in Europe?

Too much screen time and Social Media access for minors (people below 18) is the "new smoking in their face" hazard

So i grew up with the idea that smoking near your child is a bad idea. So I'm thankful that I wasn't too exposed to Nicotine thanks to my mother's efforts.

But I can't help but feel that the Internet more specifically Social Media and the screen time is becoming this New Age's Nicotine.

Both Smoking and Social Media are addictive. Both are terrible in their own ways in the long run when users are exposed Early in their lives. For smoking causes lung and/or throat cancers as well as Cardio and Pulmonary problems to boot. Extreme Social Media and screen time use can stunt a prolonged user's attention span, stunt socializing skills, and expose them to extremely obscene content.

Yet, while I've seen most people nowadays are thankfully sensible enough to not smoke (cigarettes or vapes) in front of minors nowadays. The same could not be said about Social Media and Screen time use.

From an early age, minors have often been exposed to Social Media through excessive screen time. Their attention span and Social Media are already being stunted at an early age. But it seems many parents are oblivious to this fact.

When I try to communicate this concern, a significant number of parents rebuff me for being single and having no kids so I have no idea what I'm talking about or shrugged off as nonsense.

While it is true that not all single people's advice is good for married couples with children, it is neither smart nor wise to sabotage the attention span and Social skills of one's own child merely because you want to silence them and/or want them to stop bothering you.

My family and I just went to Auschtwiz-Birchenhau

My Family and I went as the only Filipinos in the group tour going to Auschwitz-Birchenhau in Krakao, Poland.

We had little to no expectations when we went on this tour.

We've seen the pictures. We've seen the testimonies from the survivors. We have a pretty good Idea what was inside.

Nothing could have prepared us for how heartbreaking this tour was gonna be.

From their processing at Birchenhau all the way to the gas chambers, we bore witness to the suffering that the Jews and prisoners endured under the Nazi regime. It was a display of not only cruelty but also unchecked tyranny the likes of which unheard of at that time of history.

I couldn't find it within me to take many pictures for how not only heartbreaking it was but how hollowed the grounds were.

Along the tour, when we went around the smashed ruins of Gaschamber 3, there was a Scorched Earth smell as we went around it. Knowing the context of the place, it smelled worse than Cigarette smoking.

A thousand curses upon those who want what this place represented revived or remixed in our Modern day!!!!!!
