Flatten Celebritips

Celebritips fit most of my nails perfectly. But they're too curved for my thumbs. I tried flattening the thumbs this time using hot water in a glass. But once the center was flat enough, the edges were too flat.

I've also tried using a much larger nail and filing the sides, but that doesn't look quite right either.

Any suggestions on what else I can try?

Disappointed - restarting methotrexate

My RA has been very well controlled for a couple years. I was on methotrexate, enbrel, and hydroxychloroquine. My doc suggested I try going off methotrexate. It's been 1.5-3 weeks and the hand, elbow, and shoulder stiffness and pain is creeping back in, so looks like I'll be restarting it.

I have terrible veins that like to roll and collapse. At my last blood draw, it took 4 tries to get enough blood. I was really looking forward to fewer of those.

Anyway, when I first started meth, I had the usual nausea and mouth sores, but those went away after a few months. Should I expect them again?

Janji 4" Trail Shorts

Has anyone tried altering the Janji 4" trail shorts? When I tried them on, I thought the medium was a little too tight, so I bought the large. But when I ran in them, they loosened up and now ride up.

I'm thinking about altering them, but there are about 8,000 seams. Has anyone altered them (or other fitted athletic shorts)? If so, did you need to adjust every seam or did you just pick a couple? How did it end up working?

Fresh Start help

I've been ignoring my budget since Oct and I'm ready to get back into it. I did a fresh start and entered the balances of my accounts and credit cards.

But Ready to Assign is almost (but not exactly) double the amount of my cash accounts. What did I mess up?

I've been in maintenance since Nov. Weight has held very steady between 132-135, so not a lot of fluctuation. (This puts my BMI at 19.8.)

I lift weights and am turning my focus toward building muscle. I'm 50f - the internet tells me to expect less than 1 pound of muscle gain per month.

I'm going to lower my dose because I struggle to get enough protein. How do I know weight gain is from muscle and not the slippery slope on the way back to obesity? If I gain more than a pound in a month, do I increase my dose right away? Or wait a couple months and see if it's a trend?

The thought of gaining scares me - I've always regained in the past and it always started slow.

Any tips on how to manage this? And how to tell if it's muscle vs fat gain? Maybe I should just get regular dexa scans?

Who knew maintenance would be just as hard as losing...
