Can we talk credits?

There has been mention in patch notes of a future bump in credit gain. I’m hoping for something other than just new credit nodes. The true problem with credits is the rewards curve. As an account grows more and more powerful, the optimal way to farm credits is with shorter and shorter galaxies. Hours per galaxy turns to minutes, which turns to seconds (20) per galaxy with enough power. It’s fair to say a large amount of powercreep has led to this probably unintended farming mechanic.

But modules have us needing more credits than ever. And the vast majority of people don’t find super short galaxies fun. I’d have a couple of potential ways of addressing it. Module reroll fragments are spread out later into galaxies, and new credit gain should take a similar form.

New mothership room: Astrometrics: +0.5% credits in a galaxy per telescope opened, +0.1% per level (max 11)

  • New telescopes are planned, so this would gain strength over time and incentivize longer runs.

New Boost: Double Galaxy Tickets Drop doubling credit cost from 100->50

  • Add Double Galaxy Tickets to rovers and event rewards. These would promote taking at least a handful of galaxies a week deep.

Tweak the credits gained formula

  • This one would be difficult to balance. But it could grant a bit more credits past q potentially.

All in all, I’m excited to see more credits coming down the pipeline. I’m also hoping that credits will take the path module fragments have set - giving more for going deeper. What do you think about these ideas?

I was doing lower kurast runs, but ended up getting the Jah doing key runs of the summoner. Here it is!
