Has the purpose of this sub changed?
TLDR: What can we do to bring back speech and increase moderation? I ask if the purpose of the sub has changed because it used to be a very open space and now it seems be be neutered in a sense.
When you go to create a post or comment, if you decide to follow all 12 rules of this sub it is extremely difficult to even have a discussion.
The amount of flagged or banned words listed seems to be directly conflicting with our largest talking points.
When will we get south Asian inspired dishes?
Everytime going Tim Hortsons there are not many options for those with such tastes. When will we be adding such?
Thank you
I wonder what JP would thinks of gender identity and childbirth?
Recently I found out that two Canadian Universities are leading the forefront in the research of uterus transplants into MtF/biological men.
I find this relavent because he has always been very vocal on how the goal post keeps moving for things like these. The opnion of the general populatio on this topic sure has changed in my lifetime. Or atleast that is what the internet has led me to beleive.
“A woman who is born without a uterus and a man who transitions into a woman because of gender dysphoria have a similar claim to maternity if we consider them to have equivalent rights to fulfill the reproductive potential of their gender,” Balayla said. “And I think that we should.”"
Do most Canadians have traditional values towards gender identity and childbirth?
Hello all! Looking to get some Canadian opinions around this topic. From everything I have seen online you are really some of the most nicest and most inclusive people in the world towards LGBTQ2S+ and are a role model for many countries.
Recently I have noticed on some subreddits and forums discussing MtF getting uterus transplants being met with some bigotry. As far as Reddit, the mods of MtF do a very good job at making sure the sub doesnt slide into hate and divisiveness.
Right now, McGill and Dalhousie universities are the leaders in the research of utero transplants for biological men. It seems they are leading the progressive forefront on these issues. I was surprised at the negativity surrounding this topic when I'm reading comments on videos and posts though.
I would like to beleive that most Canadians do not oppose research into this. Someday I would like to move to Canada and was wondering if the sentiment around this topic is positive or negative for most people in Canada?
Thank you! ❤️🇨🇦
What with all the Bishnoi Life stickers I keep seeing?
I've been seeing more and more of these stickers on vehicles lately in the Maritimes. I do not want to interepert it the wrong way, but isn't that group considered an overseas gang? Thank you!
Is French still relavent in 2026?
Hello! Me and my partner are wondering about a good choice for a 2nd language in Canada. We've done a lot of reasearch and as far as we can tell, Quebec and some parts of the Maritimes are the only places that predominantly speak French.
There are many communities across Canada where Punjabi language is becoming more commonplace and helpful day to day. At the same time, Arabic is the fastest growing language in Canada.
In 2026 would you have your child persue French as a 2nd language or Punjab or Arabic to set them up for sucess?
Thank you!
