Pretty proud of my bathroom avocado “tree”
Been in this old, big mason jar the whole time, just from a grocery store avocado pit, about 28” tall now with no plans to change the process 👍🏼

Sunday productive efforts may be limited after this breakfast…
Not only a delicious sandwich but one of the nicest guys I’ve met in a good while, very hospitable!
Edit: didn’t realize there would be such a Biggie/Tupac east/west feud over this. I really don’t give two shits about whether this would meet your east coast standards, it was delicious and that’s all that matters to me and my kids (my son ate the other half while my daughter got her usual, provolone and mayo on French roll, she’s got a simple palate and knows what she wants). The bread is super soft and chewy, the ingredients are fresh, it’s tasty, and Mr. Ray Ray is cool as hell. 🍻
NY steak, beans (with bacon), egg, cheddar and pepper jack cheeses
Say hi to the guy in the green flannel
Got home to this little bugger chirping in my bedroom. Got him out after about 5 minutes of chasing, now time to clean up his little messes 🤬
Kram’s one of the best 👨🏻❤️👨🏻
Happy birthday dude, proud to call you a bud!
Quick jaunt up to Black Mountain, just outside of Idyllwild, CA. First time I’ve visited, didn’t take any shots of the tower directly but despite the haze, the view was great and the sunset from down the road was even better.
Edit, the tower IS in the first pic, second pic is from the catwalk.
Was supposed to be two nights, but the wind made for a very shitty first night and the thought of another full day/night of it, affecting not only the sleep but also the fire and cooking, just didn’t excite me. Toyed with a couple of cool spots before settling on the boulder spot, which I’d definitely go back to; the view eastward of the Salton Sea was beautiful, sunrise was fantastic. Lots of quail, lizards, and squirrels, first time in a long time I’ve heard coyotes out there as well. Going from a GMC Sierra to a Jeep Wrangler is making me reevaluate my gear, I need to downsize a lot of stuff. Any Wrangler campers that may see this, I’d love to see your setups (and I’m proactively researching as well).
Long, shitty, windy night but at least I was rewarded with the sunrise.
Occurred to me that while I’ve been out there a million times, I’ve never gone specifically for a sunset, usually sitting around a fire by that point. Any recommendations? I need to clear my head a bit and want to sit and have a quiet beer or two, then maybe grab dinner at Carlee’s after the sun goes down. 4x4 with plenty of clearance and a good amount of knowledge of the park (except for sunset spots clearly 🤦🏻♂️). Thanks!
