Anyone have experience with both ? I had the Pirelli P Zero, like them but not sure if I want to spend that much again.
Micheline Pilot Alpine 5 , I have a set for the rear 305/ 30/21 but looking to purchase the front ones 265/35ZR21 101Y the website shows no, but I have heard otherwise. TYI
Clearly misses the the large SUV we had before and hates the acceleration of the Taycan . Oh well,…..
I currently pay $420 per month with Farmers Insurance for my 2022 Taycan CT4. I have been with them for over 20 years and have a specific original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts guarantee in my policy. I recently obtained a quote from GEICO at $280 per month for comparable coverage; however, their representative could not clarify their stance on OEM parts. Although California law permits policyholders to select any repair facility, insurers may base estimates on recycled, refurbished, or non-OEM components. In such instances, I would be responsible for the additional cost of repairs performed at a Porsche dealership. I would appreciate any insights or experiences regarding GEICO’s practices in this regard. Thank you.
I recently purchased the MapEV for my Taycan 4 Cross Turismo from EFI Motorsports, and the experience was outstanding. I ordered it and had it in my hands the very next day on the West Coast. Installation was straightforward and took about 30 minutes.
Let me tell you—this feels like a completely different car. The added acceleration is absolutely insane, yet the power delivery feels controlled and almost factory-like. The best way I can describe it is that it feels like going from a CT4 to a Turbo.
The extra power is instantly there when you want it, but during normal driving, the car remains just as smooth and easy to drive as before. It doesn’t feel twitchy, crude, or overdone.
This honestly has to be one of the best upgrades available for the Taycan. I couldn’t be more pleased!
I am strongly thinking about ordering the MapEV tune for my Taycan 4 CT. A few questions for those of you who ordered it.
What regen setting did you order and how is it? I never had a “ one pedal car “ , so I don’t think I want the 300%
For those in the US , did you order directly from Map Ev or EFI Motorsports? How long did it take to get the unit.
Anything else that you wish you would have know before ordering ?
Thanks
I’m far from being an audiophile, but I do enjoy good music. I always thought the Bose system in my 2022 Taycan Cross Turismo 4S was… fine. Nothing spectacular, but perfectly acceptable.
That was my opinion until yesterday.
I had to download Apple Music to fix an age-rating issue for podcasts, so I signed up for the one-month trial and connected it to the PCM. The difference was immediate. It honestly sounded like someone had upgraded the sound system overnight.
Then I enabled Lossless Audio.
Wow.
For reference, I’ve been a Spotify Premium user for years and always had streaming quality set to the highest available. I also listen to SiriusXM quite a bit. But Apple Music with Lossless sounds noticeably cleaner, with better instrument separation, tighter bass, and a much more open soundstage. Vocals are clearer, and the whole system just seems to come alive.
I wasn’t expecting such a dramatic difference from simply changing streaming services, but for me it’s not subtle at all.
Has anyone else experienced the same thing with the Bose system in the Taycan? Or am I just late to the Apple Music party?
Apologies if this has been mentioned here before, stumbled on this show after watching the World Cup. I know Dempsey is a Porsche Driver / Ambassador, but what do I see, either a CT or ST, cool that they picked it over the coupe.
I don’t think that there is a better looking car on the road. It never gets old walking up to it.
