About crossplay desync

I play the game almost daily, have over 1k hours played so i know the game pretty well. I know people vent about netcode issues a lot and in general it can be inconsistent depending on server ping, a wide range of different player pings from 8ms up to 250ms sometimes. That creates some wonky situations but that is to be expected and something that just happenes in online games.

Then there is crossplay. Crossplay has a *consistently* shit hitreg. So bad, that i know after a few shots if my opponent is on the other platform or not. Shots just stop hitting, player models glitch or just appear out of thin air, frequent insta death situations to the point its comical sometimes. Its the one thing that gets me actually pissed. To my knowledge dice has never specifically adressed this issue, i would appreciate a crossplay off button on pc, at least untill they have resolved this issue (wich they wont). Its like this since launch and *nothing* about it has changed since then.

Just because i know people will bring this up: it’s not about controller vs mnk or console vs pc, i am pretty sure console players experince this aswell. Also its not a skill issue, i am not enders but well above average kpm and kd, accuracy also. Very high skill players like Uniting have mentioned this aswell. Its also not the fault of movement or movement related glitches it is specifically crossplay that causes these issues.

So dice please, give us the button to turn crossplay off or fix this shit.

How do i start?

I have been thinking about doing this vanlife thing for years. In Theory i have the money for a van and living expenses that would last quiet a while, so financial pressure would be - at first - minimal. I would not be able to keep doing my current job, to make this work somehow my plan would be to work seasonally at different places and travel between jobs. Does anyone live with this model? Is that realistic? I do also worry about my social surroundings as nobody knows of the plans i have, i am pretty sure everyone i know will call me crazy for giving up a stable job to live like a nomad. I just cant get this out of my head, i feel like i have to give it a go. Would pretty much resent myself if i never tried.

Question for fingertip grip/mouse mains

So a few days ago i picked up a fingertip mouse out of curiosity. the first few hours were hard and my first reaction was to never touch it again but i stuck with it and now i even perform better ingame wich is wild to me. i play finals, bf, cod. have tested back and forth and my microcorrections are just faster and more precise with the new mouse/gripstyle ingame.

i didnt aimtrain for about 2-3 months and obviously wanted to test how i would perform with the new mouse. tracking stuff works just fine, switching aswell. but anything klicking related is so horrible that i cant imagine anyone uses this kind of mouse/grip for klicking. is it something that takes time to develop? i am not the greatest aimer in general, have plat/dia scores so nothing fancy. i will keep playing and aimtraining with that mouse as i feel a few days is just the very beginning of the adjustment/learning curve. i am willing to take the hit in klicking, its not the most important skill in the games i play anyway.

what are your experiences whith this? how long did it take you to fully adjust/catch up if at all?

We (i) need this back

I know the larpers dont like it, it’s bad irl, hurts immersion. I dont care, it’s absolute peak ingame.

What if everyone has a genetic limit to progress?

So over ten years back when a few friends and i started going to the gym we all saw different progress despite training the exact same way and eating more or less the same. One very unfortunate guy started with nothing and after one year saw barely any progress. He did nothing wrong, he just didnt respond well to the stimulus.
Same goes for me personally with soccer, i used to play in a team as a child and i was just horrible, hard stuck at a certain skill level. There would be NO chance that i could ever become a professional soccer player, same goes for my buddy from the gym, he will never be at a top level when it comes to muscle mass, never. I am sure you know more examples like this from personal experience.

I wonder if aiming is the same, it took me about 100h to reach voltaic platinum, obviously i would like to go as high as i can and i will keep going but i wonder if maybe its just as with everything in life: not everyone can be at the top. Do you think there is a different skill cap for everyone? Do you know any examples to prove skill in aiming is uncapped?
