Can I get a hell yeah in the chat

Just wanna celebrate the fact that weigh in today put me under 200lbs for the first time in over 4 years 🥹

I started in July at around 220, and this morning I weighed in at 193.6!!! I have been refraining from buying any new clothes this whole time because I didn’t know if they’d fit for very long but this makes me want to treat myself since now also none of my old jeans fit quite right. (Never did I ever think I’d be CELEBRATING jeans not fitting LMFAO)

Feels extra nice because for a couple weeks there I hit a small plateau of bouncing between 202 and 200. SO FRUSTRATING seeing that milestone sooooo close, and SOOOO SATISFYING finally hitting it.

ISO: Double sided back rest bed?

My room at the shop I work at is pretty long and narrow, which makes turning the bed I have a giant pain in the ass if I need a client to be sitting up one way or the other.

The easy solve (or so I thought) would be to get a bed that has a backrest on both sides. Not a back rest and a knee rest, but a full back rest that I can adjust to different angles on both sides. I thought, surely this has been invented already and is super easy to find and buy right?

Wrong.

It basically doesn’t exist in the US. I’ve found a European brand that makes them, wellcore, but it doesn’t seem like they ship to the US. I’ve found an Amazon proxy for that brand but shipping takes 7 months and the idea of spending $200+ on something that won’t show up for over half a year scares me. The other option I’ve found is about $1,600 which I just cannot justify and still isn’t exactly what I’m looking for.

Has anyone found, or made, a double sided backrest bed? That I can buy for a reasonable price, and can support my heavier clients?

1 month update

SW: 220lbs
GW: 150(ish)lbs
CW:209

CD:1.5

Hello everyone! I made a 1 week post a bit ago, and I figured I might as well continue the trend and do a 1 month update.

I started off being pretty religious about working out, counting calories, etc etc. That did taper off by the 3rd week, I still go for brisk 20-40 minute walks everyday but the calorie counting has gone in the toilet. I’ve realized that for me personally it was becoming a chore to track so little, and didn’t make sense since I knew I was eating very little and very low cal foods.

Speaking of foods, Ive accidentally transitioned to an almost completely vegetarian diet. Beans and tofu have so much more fiber and are much more filling than most meats, I physically could not stomach eating both a meat protein and a veggie fiber, so combining into one just made sense. My favorite snack has been these microwaveable edamame snack packs, 13g of protein and 5g of fiber.

I had very few symptoms on 1.5 mg, mostly it was light stomach cramping for the first couple days as my body got used to the medication. But no nausea unless I overate or ate poorly. I did go out and get drinks one night for my birthday and was hungover the next day, please take it from me and do not do that. Wegovy and hangover do not mix well at all.

For weightloss itself, I saw the majority of weight loss in the first week. I suspect it was mostly water weight as I lost 6 lbs in 7 days. The next week I only lost 1lb, and the third week I lost 2lbs. This morning to close out week four I weighed in at 209!! making it 11 lbs down for all of month one. I didn’t really have a goal for weight each week, I just told myself “as long as it’s less, I’m happy”. I feel like not having a numbers goal works better for me and saves me from scale disappointment, other programs I’ve done that require daily weigh ins really got me down with day to day fluctuations. So I only weigh in once a week, first thing in the morning when I get up for work. HIGHLY recommend this method for anyone who gets in their head about the scale.

I feel pretty good overall! I’ve noticed on days that I don’t sleep as well I crash pretty hard midday and end up napping for a few hours, I notice that I also get a little tired quicker than I usually do if I’m out and about running errands. I’ve also lost about 3 inches around my waist this month. I may not look noticeably thinner, but I think I definitely look less puffy and bloated.

Here’s to month one down, looking forward to month 2 starting 4mg!

1 week stats

SW: 220
CW: 214
GW: 160
CD: 1.5 mg pill

Just completed week 1, and am down 6 lbs, and down 2inches from my waist. I know it’s probably a lot of water weight Ive lost as my body gets used to the medication but I’m still pretty thrilled at that number. I’m 5’8 and 220 has been the heaviest I’ve ever been.

I’ve been in a consistent 800-400 kcal deficit, good protein intake with lots of veg, and pairing dieting with 25-30 minute walks every day and 40ish minutes of weight lifting every other.

For the longest time whenever I would try to diet and exercise I would see maybe 1 lb lost a month, stagnate like crazy, get discouraged, and then quit altogether.

Biggest challenge so far has been remembering to drink enough water, as well as making myself eat even if I didn’t really feel like it just to be in a healthier deficit.

Edit: forgot to post what dosage

Calorie deficit?

Just started the pill, I’m on day 3 and it could be placebo, but I haven’t really been that hungry! Usually I eat when I’m bored, regardless of if I’m actually hungry or not, so that’s been a big change and I’ve been tracking calories in vs calories out on Cronometer to try and help me stay on track. Mindful eating and all that.

Which got me curious about others deficit tracking! day one was about a 700 kcal deficit, day 2 was 800, and today is shaping up to look about the same at 800-900 kcal deficit.

If you’ve been deficit tracking have you found that helped you stick to better snacking habits, did it hinder you, what was your weight loss correlation to deficit numbers if any?

I feel like there is such conflicting info everywhere in this sub. Basically I called in sick 20 minutes after my shift started (slept right through my alarms thanks to a cocktail of medications), and I’m not sure if that counts as a no call no show since I called in after the shift started, or just a regular call off.

Either way I’m just curious as to how many points I’ll get, I’m not worried since I had 0 prior to this.

This dress sold out in my size so I decided to try and dupe it the best I can, but I’m having trouble finding a good skirt pattern that can mimic what’s going on here with the horizontal seams. Does anyone know what this kind of skirt is called, or if the type of construction and seaming has a name?
