He said that the production would start by the end of the year and I can't wait to see what the casting looks like.

I took some screencaps of the filming locations during Civic Holiday today

So today was a fun one (hope you have a great Civic Holiday for the folks in the Great White North), I eventually took a trip of the filming locations after me and my dad dropped my sister to Union Station (she occasionally came here while she was studying college in Ottawa).

Eventually I saw the Rivoli and the Steve’s Music Store (from the intro of the web series and the Viceland show, RIP. I do remember hearing radio ads when CIUT 89.5 FM broadcasting it). Ofc the movie filming locations with the CP24 truck at the Bell Media headquarters (+ the CN tower) and McDonald’s in Spadina (as seen in the intro of the film). And finally I took a picture of Matt and Jay’s house (as seen on the Viceland show) after me and my dad had Mary Brown’s for dinner.

Ik its a little off-topic, but I did went to the Kops Records store for the first time (I told the cashier about the Rivoli and said she only watched the show and haven’t seen the movie) and also visited the BMV book store over there (nothing special about it).

I had a lot of fun tho, I’ve became a fan of it ever since the movie (still currently watching the Viceland show, which should be streaming on Disney+ here this Friday!)

Value Village pickups today

Yeah I found a few interesting things here, but the most stuff I was happy to find was:

- A CD Holiday sampler of Christmas with the Kranks (which was bundled with the movie on DVD, from doing my research)
- The original 1997 DVD of Twister (aka the first Hollywood film to be released on that format)
- The CD soundtrack for How to Eat Fried Worms (it a movie related post so it counts)

Now quick question about Disc 1 of Seinfeld: Season 4 (the only season of this show not being re-packaged in 2012 in a slimmer packaging). My copy seems to have somewhat disc rot issues, but it should be playable. I don’t know if anyone has it like that, let me know!

The Neddeaus of Duqesne Island (2017 CBC comedy web series)

I'm looking for this obscure web series that was released on both CBC Comedy's YouTube channel and CBC Gem until it got removed few years ago due to the rights being lapsed.

It was released in 2017 in honour of Canada's 150th birthday. It's a 10 episode mockumentary that was a homage to NFB's short films in the '70s. And it stars both Aaron Schroeder and Kelly McCormack btw. It does look pretty interesting I should say.

I contacted the show's creator Aaron Schroeder through his website if he has plans to re-release it elsewhere or a Blu-ray release, I have not got a respond.

I also shared it through a forum post on The Lost Media Wiki and r/lostmedia about this show. And a user was able to find a saved archived video of episode 2 and all the episodes in a YouTube playlist that's now been private.

If anyone has saved all the episodes through CBC Comedy's YouTube channel or CBC Gem before July 2023 (according to JustWatch), let me know. Since many Canadians had been wanting to re-visit this piece of obscure media here!

The 1988 Greatest Hits compilation is getting a deluxe edition release on July 3 ahead of the upcoming documentary

Many of you aren't aware that the 1988 Greatest Hits compilation is getting re-released as a deluxe edition ahead of the upcoming documentary. It appears to be available on streaming and digital now with physical releases on vinyl and CD on July 3.

Description from the Rough Trade website:

Fleetwood Mac’s iconic multi-platinum Greatest Hits album is released as a deluxe edition, including some key tracks that were not on the original 1988 release.
This is a go-to compilation for the classic lineup of Fleetwood Mac ahead of their upcoming documentary.

Fyi, this only reflects the Rumours 5 era of the band. Rhino/Warner already put out the 1969-74 compilation reflecting the Peter Green/Danny Kirwan/Bob Welch era that were released by Reprise Records at the time.

▲ 503 r/HIMYM

I finally completed my HIMYM DVD collection.

For about 6 years (this was my all time favourite sitcom ever since), i’ve been trying to complete the entire series on DVD separately and now that Season 9 just arrived in the mail today, I finally did it!

The first 6 seasons I bought at a thrift store (first two I found 6 years ago, Seasons 3-6 I bought last year), Season 7 I bought at a Shoppers Drug Mart and Season 8 I ordered off from eBay (I got it in a decent price from a bid auction) earlier this year.

Btw, Season 9 was very extremely hard to find individually on eBay. But I was able to ordered it off in a decent price from the Beat Goes On online store.

So now I’m happy to have the entire series on DVD to have the special features and the audio commentaries. Kinda shame the entire series (besides the 4th season) didn’t got a Blu-ray release and possibly unlikely due to Disney’s lazy physical media department being a mess.

I know there’s a bonus disc that was exclusively to “The Whole Story” boxset with the finale table read but i’m still grateful to own the entire series physically!
