Today my SteamController 2026 arrived. I am enjoying it very much. But I think the packaging of the OG Steam Hardware was way cooler with the explosion diagrams of the guts. Hope you enjoy seeing them again too :)
My O5E hast the six gear DQ250 transmission. Yesterday after a 450 km drive, I noticed whining sound when letting off the gas pedal, increasing in cornering without acceleration. It also appeared in deceleration alone but got louder in the corners.
When driven today with a cold transmission, the noise was gone. As I had only the short drive the transmission did not get as warm.
I have noticed a really quiet whine over the last two months, when decelerating in second gear upon approaching a stop. Also, the second gear sometimes takes some time to find itself and sometimes makes a firm change. Besides that, no problems are present.
Transmission Oil was changed 10 Months/15.000km ago.
What could be the cause? Is the transmission or differential dying? Is it safe to drive the 450 km back on Tuesday?

This is on a power supply section of a sony home Theater System I just bought off a flee market. For diagnostics I only have a Multimeter.
