I have my Raichu from the OG Sapphire. There is a bit of story to it. The day I got the game was accidentaly the day my grandmother died. I always wanted Raichu with Safari ball, and male at that, since I don´t like female tails.
Well, you can imagine my suprise when the VERY FIRST pokemon I encountered in the Safari Zone was Pikachu (5 % encounter). And male one at that (another 50 % chance). And to add to it, it had Timid nature, one of the best natures for Raichu. Caught it in the second ball. Given how rare it was, I am thinking it was the last gift from my grandma. So I named it after the place where she lived, and from where I have so many memories.

Anyway, I couldn´t let this miracle stay in one game, so I took it on a journey. Got it ALL the marks and ribbons and other flairs he can get, including Leaf Crown in HG. Then, after it got mega form, I took it to Pokemon Champions. Got him to Champion tier and also got with it the Raichu professor title you get from winning 100 battles with Raichu. Is there anything else I missed, before Winds and Waves release?

For the first time ever, I managed to reach Champion tier in doubles (since I play doubles only). And with a team I build myself! Not to mention before that I got 15-winstreak with the same team.

My highlight is definitely Raichu, who was with me since the OG Sapphire and has all the available ribbons, marks and titles. Well, now that he got mega evolution, he succeeded even in this hardest challenge. Not to mention, he was pretty instrumental in the last battle, that got him the Champion-tiered title.

While it IS true that Champions offers no new marks/ribbons, and that titles you get from reaching Master/Champion Rank don´t carry over, you WILL get special flair if you send your mon to that game. It might be interesting for some collectors.
You can find it just above "first met" column, as shown here with my ribbon master Raichu. It just says "Has visited Pokemon Champions".

So, with the release of mega Raichus, I decided to take my ribbon master from the OG Sapphire for a spin. Made him into Raichu-Y, expecting somewhat medicore results. Well... it was MUCH better than I expected, and I reached Master Ball tier in one sitting. Run dual mega with Staraptor, but I basicaly never bring the birb.

So, here it is, Raichu the ribbon master who now also proved that he CAN be good competitively. Honestly, its kinda mind bogglig battling in Champions and mega evolving Pokemon that was caught at the time when mega evolution didn´t even exist as a concept in the heads of their creators.

Oh, and for the flair collectors, when you send your mon back from Champions, it WILL have the "visited Pokemon Champions" in its HOME description.
