Plate carrier style for a guy that doesn’t want to spend 300 bucks on a vest?
As the title says, are there any budget vests out there? Tried CAP but sent it back as it covered my chest and stomach.
Thanks!

Hey all, this got removed from /askmen for some reason so I wanted to post here.
TIL: Couldn't get it up. Thought it was a fluke, tried the next day with the same result. Now I'm worried, intimidated etc. 2 strikes and I'm worried I'll strikeout.
So, this has never happened to me before. 2 false starts and honestly, finishing WAY to quickly leading up to that. (which doesn't make sense in my head).
50yr old male.
Think that's all the pertinent info.
So it's happened twice, back to back. Now I'm freaking out and if I'm being honest, lost the desire and low key kinda scared to initiate sex again. Wife is understanding but still, I want to perform for her and it will become a problem if it keeps happening (in my mind anyways). She doesn't know it's freaking me out.
So without asking for the blue pill, what can I do to remedy the two issues I'm having? My first thought was to stop the 2 prescription meds. Honestly I don't need Wegovy anymore and my therapist said I have just a slight bit of depression. I think I'm 'cured' of that, if that's a thing. I think the other changes I made helped that.
So what's an old guy to do?
Hey everyone. We travel to Estes every 4th for vacation. Typically we spend most of our time hiking in the park, 99% of that being on the East side since we typically stay right down the road (Boulder Brook).
This year we want to do things a little different and explore the West side of the park but I don't know anything about that side. Last year we met up with friends that live near Grand Lake and honestly I hated it. It was super crowded etc. Not our scene at all.
So I'd love to hear some recommendations for hikes, etc. on the west side of the park.
Also, I'd love to hear of decent spots in eat around Estes (just the wife and I). We love Notchtop and Cinnamon's Bakery. Dinner is typically just whatever we see when we come back from the park.
Thanks again!
Hey everyone, pulling my hair out on this one. So I forgot to clean the filter and it got pretty funky. I went ahead and drained the entire tub, cleaned, cleaned filter etc, refilled.
Still got the error. Bought a replacement part and STILL got the error.
This was the exact behavior as the original one, so that leads me to think it isn't the flow controller.
Here's a pic of the controller after tapping it. The tab inside moves to that position. Makes sense as water is pushed through: https://imgur.com/a/cFTbBh0
What should my next steps be?
So apparently this place has really gone downhill since the 70s. My grandpa was buried there 20yrs ago with no issue.
Grandmother died a month ago and my aunt has been fighting with them ever since to get the grave and tombstone fixed. It's a mess (see pics). After doing a little searching, seems a lot of people have had the same issues lately.
After finding out about it. My thought is to drive down to where this is (I'm 5hrs away) with some shovels etc and fix it myself. F the funeral home. It's been a month and I don't want my aunt to have to deal with this.
I'm I being a dumb hillbilly? Is this even legal? Curious if there are any repercussions, etc?
Hey all, so I've really wanted to jump into the 3D game lately but kinda wondering which way to go (or to even go at all).
I have a makerspace right down the street that has a few P1S machines. I can grab a stl from Printables or wherever, throw it on a zip drive and print it there. They change by filament weight. It's OK but I like the idea of having my own printer.
I've printed a few things, a cell phone holder, couple adapters for my shop vac in my wood shop.
Those would be the type of things I'd mostly print. I've been looking at the P2S or even the Flashforge Creator Pro. Wondering if those are overkill?
I'd mostly print stuff for my shop etc. Adapters, jigs, maybe computer speaker holders, stuff like that.
Are the enclosed/multi head printers overkill? Should I get a used bed slinger type off FB marketplace etc?
Thanks!
Hey everyone. So this door replacement is turning into a bear. I'm going to hire this out for sure and it's starting to look like pre-hung might be out of the question. Here's the deets. I would love the hivemind's thoughts.
So, I haven't pulled the interior trim off yet because it's got about 600 layers of paint but my best questimate is rough opening: ~78" x 83". Pretty much all the big box stores have prehung units maxing out at 65x82.
I shot the measurements to a friend that does remodels and he said just pick a pre-hung unit and send it to him, like that was possible but after checking, it doesn't seem like that'll work. 13" is a lot of make up for on each side.
Could you buy 3 prehung units? Then split the difference between the outside edges and between the door and sidelights? Splitting up that 13" doesn't seem too bad in this config.
Just replace the door and leave the side lights alone? Nothing wrong with them. Probably need reglazing. They're single pane ~18" wide. Seems most modern max out at 12" wide.
Or the super spendy option and have the whole thing custom built? This is my least favorite. I don't want to drop 10k on a front door. This ain't that kinda neighborhood ;)
At this point, I'm confused. Why would guys that do this stuff for a living seem to think 'off the shelf' would work? Am I overthinking etc?
I'm going to get a 2nd opinion had call a local company to come out and shoot some measurements and give me options and a quote. But I'd love as much feedback as I can get.
