Filmmaking London networking event pubs and conversations.

Hello everybody — just wanted to let you know I'm hosting a networking and film meetup for fellow creatives in London.

I know it can be very hard to break into the filmmaking industry, whether you're coming at it from pre-production, production, or post. I thought it'd be a great idea for us to come together, have a couple of pints, and see what kind of connections we can make and whether there are any other like-minded filmmakers we can get to know.

The meetup will be at The Latymers, 157 Hammersmith Rd, London W6 8BS, on Friday 14th August at 6:30pm.

This is for new filmmakers wanting to break into the industry, professional filmmakers looking to switch departments, or anyone just after like-minded people to talk to.

I've attached a Google Form below — please fill it out so I know who's coming. That way I can make the right table reservations and any other arrangements, and it also helps me learn a bit about everyone beforehand so I can help facilitate introductions on the night.

Horror short film London, looking for actors.

Do you love analog horror, ’80s horror films, and internet horror? Then this project is for you.

Pig Man is an indie found footage horror short following a brutal killer stalking the streets of London.

Logline:
One man’s childhood hunger was never satisfied. His family… the pigs on their farm… were never enough. Now he craves more, and the streets of London have become his perfect hunting ground.

I’m currently in pre-production and looking to cast two female actors for the project, with plans to shoot within the next month.
Casting Call

I’m looking for two female actors to play club goers enjoying a night out in London before their evening takes a terrifying turn when they encounter Pig Man.
Previous acting experience is preferred but not essential — the most important thing is a passion for horror, storytelling, and collaborative indie filmmaking.

The project draws inspiration from analog horror, ’80s horror films, and internet horror, with a focus on creating an unsettling found footage experience. The roles will involve creating a realistic portrayal of a normal night out before the story shifts into something much darker.

This is a true indie production with a small, collaborative team focused on creating an authentic handheld found footage horror short.

Please note: this is an unpaid role.
What Cast Will Receive:
● Food and snacks provided during filming
● One provided meal during the shoot
● Footage for personal portfolios/showreels
● Full screen credits for their work on the project
The shoot will take place over one day and will ideally be around five hours long, either in the afternoon or evening.
The location is currently being location scouted and will be confirmed closer to the shoot date.

If you’re interested in getting involved, please send me a message on Reddit with a little information about yourself, your acting experience, and any relevant work or showreels.

Pitch deck included in this post.
Looking forward to working with fellow creatives and creating something unique in the world of indie horror.
