Insisting on a conversation to "get closure" is hoovering and unhealthy

Closure means ending contact, not obssesively contacting your ex searching for explanations. When you break up, you should not rely on eachother for emotional support. You are not together, seaking intimacy with them is codependant. The correct thing is to cut them out completely so you can go through the stages of grief and move on. The best antidote to heartbreak is time.

Adam was the goo that held the cumboys together

He cut the "you'll be lucky you'll have a fucking knee" argument short. He was Nick's shoulder to cry on after losing the "more like 5AM" Superbowl commercial. He talked Stav down from doing oxys to doing vicodin(harm reduction.) He served as the duo's punching bag to let out their aggresion on him rather than eachother.

.

.

Adam got roasted for our sins.

Adding transaction to unenthusiastic sexual consent makes it woke

Folks love using therapyspeak to have "consensual" sex for drugs with traumatized, housing insecure sex workers.

Chubby people who don't get fatter are admirable

Sure enjoy their little snack, but they weigh the same at 30 as at 20 and don't use their 5-10+ extra kilos as an excuse to give in to the chubby-to-obese pipeline. Also a lot of them are hot and kind

Be a people pleaser to yourself

My social worker and I discussed why I rush get into relationships even when I know they will be disfunctional. I said am productive when in relationships. I am motivated to clean, because then I feel better inviting a girlfriend over. I clean or study because I feel obligated to others, but obligation is exhuasting and unsustainable.

He suggested that I should do productive things for myself and view them as their own motivation and reward. That I do productive things for myself, to please myself.

This Is How Emotionally Unstable People Manipulate You | JOE NAVARRO

I found his videos helpful to understand just how crazy and disfunctional my relationship was with my bpd ex.

When someone is a liar, don't trust even things that sound true.

When you catch on that they are a liar, don't try to guess what else they are hiding from you or lying about. There will always be more lies and your feeling of selfworth will keep weakening. Dump them. Stop trying to play detective. FIND PEOPLE YOU CAN TRUST.

They want to want to change, but don't make the effort

I think many people with bpd who are in therapy sometimes feel bad about what they do and see the harm it causes themselves and others, but don't put in the work to practice their therapy excercises, show up to appointment and keep making efforts to treat people in a healthier way.

They want to change like how someone wants to go to the gym or eat healthier, but won't make an effort, because not doing it is easier. Because there isn't much immediate gratification.

Not making efforts to change is far worse in the case of the person with bpd, because them being resistant to self improvement hurts other people. It's learned helplessness turned outward. They want to change without putting in the work. To just wake up one day and be a healthy person.

Why not send low level prospects to visit imprisoned mobsters?

Guy's like Paulie complain about not being visited. Post sentencing, sure cut down on visits after a few years, but three months?! Visiting is boring, but why not send some errand boy to keep him feeling important and keep the bosses up to date on him. Cuts down on likelihood of snitching
