Jonathan Bree - Savour My Love (feat. Rachel Clarke)
Very strange mysterious and analog-heavy music video, but an incredible Portshead-esque downtempo vibe. I'm very excited for this upcoming Jonathan Bree album.
Any idea what the panicked screaming sample from Kalte Unschuld is from?
Always wondered this. It starts at 1:55
Bonus points if anyone knows what it is they're saying?
Savour My Love (feat. Rachel Clarke), by Jonathan Bree
Chill downtempo, with a splash of dark. Kinda reminds me of Portishead
The YT algorithm recommended me this shitpost Wesker Resident Evil playlist containing surprisingly good industrial picks
'It's Weskin' time.'
Independent radio station XRAY.FM is moving its headquarters to the corner of SE10th and Hawthorne
xray.fmThis Gorilla painting really cheered me the fuck up
This picture is wholesome as shit to stare at, while I take a shit.
It's a complicated emotion you see, but it might also be the exact moment I fell in love with Portland.
Tell me of your favorite albums with hidden or 'secret' tracks, or ominous ways of ending the album?
This is probably a thing that died out with CDs, but I'm still looking for interesting new ways this is done. The eerier sounding, the better. Or even old albums that I haven't listed here, I'm sure I've missed plenty of weird industrial full-album stuff.
By secret tracks here, I mean albums that generally would either insert a bunch of blank silent tracks, or a bunch of silence, so that there would be an amount of time from the "last" song, to some sort of extra bonus song.
^(Examples of blank track secrets:)
Hocico's Sangre Hirviente
The 'last' track is 10, Fragmentos En El Tiempo. The hidden track is #66 ...Musica para un suicidio. Fun fact, this hidden track was really fun to prank & leave autoplaying for friends who didn't know it was going, volume set to full blast.
Marilyn Manson's Antichrist Superstar
Man That You Fear is track #16, and 17-98 are blank. Track 99 is ominous. Meaning if you were listening to the album play you had a fair chance of forgetting it was still going from the silence, and when track 99 kicked in, you'd go "WTF"
Squaremeter's 14ID1610S
Last track is #13, the hidden track is #99, and sounds like music to run for your life to.
Reisdent Evil Movie OST (2002)
No blank empty tracks on this, but the final song has 30 seconds of silence before a sample from the movie "we're all going to die down here" plays.
Front Line Assembly's Silent Ceremony
Generally a pretty upbeat trip-hoppy Delirium kind of song, that ends, and after 2 minutes of total silence ominous dark beeping sci-fi atmospherics begin playing.
^(Example of just an ominous way to sign off an album:)
Oneiroid Psychosis' "These Shattered Falling" from Stillbirth
The entire song has a vital signs monitor running through it, until the end where it stops with a phone disconnect signal and a faint "goodbye" recorded message
Anyways, I'm looking for more examples of either of these types of being weird and creepy with one's album finisher.
This sub has shit the bed
Seriously nobody is bothering to read the sub rules before posting, most notably #1 that this sub is NOT ABOUT HORROR GAMES, but rather creepy things that happen in normal games. But that hasn’t stopped a frustrating amount of goons from spamming this sub with promoting the horror games they’re trying to market and sell.
Look, I GET IT marketing is hard, but also it’s rather shit to just also just rapid spam several subs without bothering to actually read what they’re specifically about, while also not participating in them. I made a friggin horror game so yes, again I get it. But I at least bothered to check the rule list for subs.
I’ve messaged the mods to ask if they need volunteers or something but never heard back, (I’m not even sure if they’re present anymore?)
If this sub WANTS to just be the dumpster for people to post their horror games (just another r/horrorgaming basically), thats fine, I say remove the rules and the description of what this sub is supposed to be about then.
